Dormy House Hotel

I went to Dormy House Hotel for lunch. The food was delicious. The atmosphere and surroundings were very peaceful and relaxing. My only grouch would be that my lunch plates were taken away as soon as I had finished eating and I was asked to pay before I had finished my drink, making me feel as though I wasn't welcome and they wanted me to leave. Not the sort of service you would expect from this sort of hotel.

We stayed at Dormy House for 3 nights. We wanted a base from which we could do our daily walks of 3-6 miles. We loved the quiet atmosphere, the sound of birds, and the attention to all details. There were many nooks and crannies in which you could be alone and just read a book, but also places like the cozy bar to meet other travelers. Our room was large and spacious, and had a wonderful bed and linens. The bathroom was lovely with very nice products. The spa was great-sauna, steam, snow shower (felt great after the sauna), an indoor pool and an outside hot tub. We had all our breakfasts there, and two out of our three dinners. The food was delicious, and the staff went overboard to accommodate your every desire. The walks were wonderful, and just what we wanted. I would highly recommend Dormy House

Perfect stay, food was amazing! The staff couldn’t do anymore for you. My only criticism is the spa area; not enough loungers around the pool and we witnessed several people searching for beds and having to walk out. Also there were old wet towels left on the beds for long periods of time. It would have been nice to see spa staff be more present and tidy up the pool area. We will be back! Thank you for a lovely stay.
