The Jolly Roger Motel

We have stayed at the Jolly Roger for several years in a row now. It is a great place for our family and we will continue coming here forever more as we make this our yearly summer vacation spot. The owners and management are always extremely personable. The Jolly Roger is right across from the beach. It has a large, very clean pool with plenty of seating. They have a great little breakfast spot right at the hotel. Our room has a small but perfect balcony for relaxing with a beer at the end of the day. The beaches at Wildwood are great. With extremely clean and wide beaches, good waves, and dolphins swimming by almost every time we go down to the water, it is perfect. Because of the large beach, you can get some stunning sunset pictures. There are great restaurants all around (we love Bandanas Mexican Restaurant right down the street). The board walk is fun for food, shopping, bike rentals and is within walking distance. The walkways by the beach are extremely clean, well lit at night, and it always feels very safe. It's a perfect family destination (there is even an ice cream truck that drives around each night!) . Cape May is a short drive away and offers a little bit of a different yet beachy vibe. There are several good golf courses in the area too. I highly recommend Twisted Dune. I play there every year. Just writing this makes me look forward to next year! Wildwood feels like a throwback with lots of small non-franchise motels. With lots of choices, I highly recommend the Jolly Roger.

What adorable vintage motel! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the room was clean with cute & kitschy decor. The pool was absolutely lovely, and the pickleball courts were great. The location is excellent, just steps from the beach & boardwalk. Nothing fancy or fussy, just a charming place to enjoy yourself down the shore.

Wonderful nostalgic hotel. Late September rates were very fair and we had a great time. Poolside rooms are wonderful and offer easy access to the pool and lobby. Owners were great with local recommendations and fun things to do. Also think it’s awesome that they’re pet friendly!

Very nice family owned place, Welcoming, pool was wonderful clean and relaxing. Hotel is very close to beach/easy to get to. I am a repeat customer. Room was nicely set up and clean, good recommendations on where to eat. We would definitely recommend.

THE BEST IN THE CREST! Nobody does it better than the Tenaglia's. The rooms are clean, spacious, and bright. Being that they are pet friendly is a major plus because we can bring our pup so he can enjoy a vacation too. We have been staying here for over 20 years and will never stay anywhere else. Their professionalism is like no other. Thank you for another wonderful stay!

My Family and I LOVED staying here. We stayed at another location for 20 Years and unfortunately they priced themselves out of our Comfort level. That being said, I'm glad we found Jolly Roger. From the first phone call to reserve, to checking in, to staying there, using their facilities, interaction with the owners, and staff, I give an A+++++ Rating. Everyone was Welcoming, Caring. And Kind. We were in one of the Efficiency rooms, and it worked for us. I can't say enough about how nice it was to stay there. They truly care about their Customers.
