St John's Guest House

We booked the whole house for a family get together. It’s not easy to find places big enough for a large number. St John’s Guest house was perfect for us. The dining room was configured for a large group, the sitting room was lovely and comfortable. The kitchen area is small but well kitted out. The bedrooms had the right configuration for us, and it’s great that they’re all en-suite. It’s really close to the beach, walking distance from the town, parks and RSPB sanctuary. Chesil beach is a short drive (or bus trip) - for fossil hunting. We had a great stay and would recommend it.

This was our second visit which Lynne and Andy made us as welcome as the first time. Our room was lovely, clean and very comfortable with teas, coffee, hot chocolate, etc., provided along with toiletries. Good choice for breakfast and recommend the cooked breakfast, absolutely delicious. It was my birthday and I was welcomed with a Birthday balloon attached to my chair and a small box of chocolates on the table. Such a lovely surprise. Thank you x Weymouth is such a beautiful place to visit and the surrounding areas. We visited Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and Corfe Castle which we highly recommend. Thank you Lynne and Andy for a lovely stay in your beautiful guest house. We highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

Recommended by friends spent one night, very warm welcome from Lynn made us feel at home straight away. The room was spotlessly clean. All you need was there and a nice touch with the tea and coffee tray and fresh milk and the small treats of biscuits and sweets. Bed was really comfortable, and we both slept really well,also very quiet. We had to pre-order breakfast which was not a problem for us before we went out for the evening and its location is 2nd to none as a ten minute walk and you on the front and are in the center of all shops,bars and restaurants. At breakfast, we met Lynn's husband Andy, who was very friendly and could not do enough for us. The breakfast itself was of high-quality fresh ingredients a definite 10/10. I would definitely recommend this guest house if you are thinking of coming to Weymouth. By the time we left, it was like saying goodbye to old friends.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is really lovely and had everything we needed and is only a short walk from the beach. All the rooms are ensuite, making it great for large groups, including children. Lynne was very helpful and friendly.

Lovely house with plenty of rooms and space. All rooms had en-suites and interior was cosy and modern. Amazing hosts. Lynne provided plenty of information before our stay and was prompt with her communication. Would definitely stay again.

We hired the whole Guest House for 4 families with young children to get together. The bedroom configurations and ensuites all worked well for our mix of families and the house had everything we needed and was very clean and tidy. The only thing we would have preferred is a slightly larger communal lounge and kitchen area as it sometimes felt like we were on top of each other, but we did manage to cook a Christmas dinner for 15 of us, so although a squeeze, it is still do-able and the large dining room was great for our big meal. Fantastic location, so close to the beach and we spent time at the Country Park just down the road. Lynne was very responsive and helpful. Would recommend 👍🏼
