Everything we wanted - perfect English countryside Manor sta

A pleasant surprise to find such a gem, at an affordable price. Situated on the edge of Chipping Norton village, close to shops, pubs and the quaint town aforementioned. It does feel very luxurious with the golf setting, our room was a basic one, but that’s all we wanted. It had a nice amenities, like a kettle, tv, lovely shower etc. They even have the upcoming sport ‘paddle’ courts available to hire. Overall a lovely stay while we visited Didly Squat and The Farmer’s Dog. Rebooking for October.

Beautiful location, friendly staff, very clean rooms with either private balcony or patio area. Plenty of parking spaces. Reasonable price Can't complain about anything and we will definitely stay here again and recommend.

The rooms are spacious, well serviced, clean with great views (depending on where you are located of course) I loved the balcony space ,table and 2 wicker chairs and was overlooking the golf course with midday to evening sunshine - perfect. Breakfast had great choices and was kept continually stocked up. Staff were helpful and efficient. Check in was smooth. The South African Handyman (whose name I didn't get) deserves a special mention for being great at his job and very personable. I had a lava shell massage in the Spa - wonderful - again didn't get the person's name. Maybe name badges or encourage staff to introduce themselves might be a good idea It's a great location. 30 mins walk to town centre - good footpath, easy drive. Definitely recommend. Had a great stay. Was a solo traveller and felt very safe.

It’s was a great place to stay very beautiful but sometimes busy with the golfers but apart from not very nice stay.

Location was good, plenty of parking, clean rooms and very spacious. Staff were friendly , Large bar area with good selection of draught beer. Breakfast was excellent. Would defo stay here again if up this way

Arrived at the hotel which was signposted well on the street. Check in was simple and quick. Room was clean but looked much larger on the website photos, this wasn’t an issue though.  Breakfast was good eating with a view of the golf course.  Overall very good value for money.  One negative, it would benefit with having pool in my opinion.

Easy to find - well signposted and ample parking available. Parking can be busy with golfers and events if there is a wedding on. Friendly reception staff and quick check in process. Rooms and grounds immaculately clean. Really good sized rooms and quite quiet. Decent sized rooms and bathrooms. Iron and ironing board in the room. Kettle, milk, tea and coffee as well as packets of biscuits. Cute balcony too.

My neighbors was back at around 12:30am and made a lot of noise. They had music blaring from their room as well. I could hear everything clearly and could not sleep. I complained to reception and they sent someone to speak to them but the noise only stop for a few minutes. Not being able to sleep did not help my early start. There were stains on the lid of the toilet and the bath was not very clean. The pump of the hair conditioner does not work.

Needed a stop over for one night I wished I'd booked closer to the date as the price was a lot less than I paid.

Very comfortable room and amenities, good location, but golf court is not impressive.

Booked this hotel for an evening on Trip, which noted that breakfast was included in the price, and part of the reason for booking. We travelled, we arrived, we booked in: “your room does not include breakfast, but can be purchased at extra charge”. While checking in an American lady was talking to the other person on the desk about how hot her room was and the fact that there was no air conditioning, this should have been a warning sign. Went to our room dropped out stuff off, went and had an evening out, got back to the room, in a short space of time the room begins feeling hot, too much so for a comfortable nights sleep. Where’s the thermostat… oh no, refer back to the lads complaining earlier, there is not thermostat, there is no aircon. Check if the windows open, one in the bedroom, one in the bathroom: Open the bathroom one, oh heck, this opens out onto the room next doors balcony (something we didn’t have), which is then both a privacy and a security issue, as they could look into the bathroom, or indeed get through the windows if they really wanted to, so not an option. Open the window in the bedroom, it’s right night to another rooms balcony, and whoever is staying there is up late taking and we can hear it all. Eventually get to sleep, 04:30 first car starts up in the car park, which is gravel and now making an amount of noise. Made reception aware on checking out, didn’t seem in the least bit interested. And let’s face it, they already know, we’d heard someone else complain the day before.

It was a great central location to explore the Cotswolds, a car needed. Local town Chipping Norton lovely breakfast places and shops to explore
