Discovery Parks - West Beach Parks

We’ve been coming here for years. The location is great, but the facilities have deteriorated. The #2 shower block needs renovating. The gents showers have no shelves for soap, and many hooks are broken. The doors are marred by graffiti and in need of a paint. The prices charged are quite expensive now, even as a Perks member. I think patrons deserve better for the price charged. Having said that, I’d come again just because of the location.

We came down for a family getaway, stayed in a family cabin - Sally the Seashorse #9, for the price for 4 nights for 4 people of $960+ the facilities were good except some facilities towards that area of the park would have been nice, The stay was far from the getaway we were hoping for with the cabin been cold on the first night we decided to put the split system on to heat the room, it wasn't very warm so we checked the air-conditioner filters they looked like they hadn't been cleaned for months so we cleaned them and replaced, the dust on the headbord in the main bedroom and on top of the cupboard made for an interesting time with wifes asthma, bed mattresses were like sleeping on concrete, kids bunk area had dirty marks on the ceiling and old mentos stuck under the mattress bunk mattresses were uncomfy with one child sleeping on the lounge, shower was more cold then hot, and had black mold along the seals, no extra blankets in main bedroom for chilly night temps either When told about the aircon on the second day we were told housekeeping would attend to it while we were out - didnt see house cleaning until sunday and they didn't clean our cabin

Our favourite caravan park - great facilities and amazing location. The proximity to the beach and the boardwalk, along with the pool, playground, sporting facilities and cafe, make for a relaxing and fun stay for our family. Everything is also within easy driving distance if you want to explore Adelaide! We will continue coming here for years to come.
