Grand Hotel Belvedere

Nestled in a serene setting ideal for leisure activities, Belvedere Hotel is widely celebrated for its comprehensive amenities and pristine cleanliness, as guests have called out the spotless facilities and meticulous attention to detail. The food was also super delicious! As for the service, we were treated like kings and queens. It was uncomparable to anything I’ve experienced before With an atmosphere that melds tranquility, luxury, and rustic charm, the staff at Belvedere Hotel receive accolades for their professional and friendly service. The whole team is super friendly and helpful to delight their guests. I was explicitly welcomed by almost all of the members, everything from checking in to checking out goes so smooth and amazingly swift. This is a beautiful property with sweeping, gorgeous views of the valley and mountains, great service, and a delicious breakfast. The location is a good base to explore the Interlaken/Lauterbrunnen area. Ideal for a romantic getaway or a family vacation. Would absolutely stay here again.

The hotel exterior and interior are in traditional architecture and the rooms feature charming classic furniture pieces as well. The views of the valley from the top floor are exactly what I came to Switzerland for to see. The staff are professional and helpful. A superb hotel overall. The only criticism I would have is that the top floor rooms feature a traditional triangular ceiling with wooden beams, and being a little tall (186cm/6ft) the one side of the room was a little low.

We had a wonderful week in Wengen. We arrived late on the Saturday evening to be greeted by the small truck to take our luggage to the hotel whilst we wandered through the streets. We had a very friendly welcome and, as we had notified the hotel about our late arrival, a welcome meal waiting for us in our room. Our room was very comfortable in a way which complemented the period nature of the hotel but with a newly refurbished bathroom. The meals are all self-service and of a very good quality with plenty of choice. The breakfasts are varied and provide enough energy for the day’s activities, supported by the simple packed lunches offered as part of our package. There was a four-course dinner, again of very good quality with a wide range of options. We had a table by the window and could enjoy the views of the grounds and mountains. As well as the quality of the food, the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff contributed so much to the enjoyment of our stay. The hotel is situated about ten minutes’ walk from the railway station. A gentle stroll the other way offers lovely views of the Lauterbrunnen Valley. It was our third visit to the Jungfrau area, but the first to Wengen and, of course, this hotel. We can thoroughly recommend Wengen as a holiday destination and look forward to returning to the Belvedere before too long.

A lovely hotel. We booked a double room with mountain view; the views were amazing! The bed and easy chairs were comfortable, bathroom very good, lighting good (unlike in many UK hotels), staff were helpful. Food was great- We ate our evening meal there most nights even though we hadn’t booked full board. I need a gluten free diet and have never felt as well catered for in a restaurant as in this one! Everyday the chef would let me know what I could eat from the buffet. If there was no suitable main course he cooked me something! Most of the restaurant staff were helpful & attentive. It’s a bit of a trek up from the station so make use of the baggage shuttle (we didn’t and regretted it!)

What a beautiful hotel. There is character at every turn in this hotel. The buffet dinner great. Every single window had a view, that was unmatched. It felt like you could reach out and touch the mountain! I called the hotel upon my arrival and they sent an electric shuttle to pick me up. Which was very helpful as the hotel is tucked away and a far walk up the hill. I would recommend and would stay here again.
