Mountain Shadows Resorts

My husband and I had come to this beautiful property to celebrate our 1st anniversary and we must say it was all worth it. We had a very pleasant and relaxing stay, the hospitality was top notch, the staffs are very polite, the activities were very engaging and the food was just delicious. Would definitely recommend anybody who would love to spend a relaxing vacation amidst beautiful scenic views.

My wife and I travelled to Mountain Shadows for our much needed break this Jan. We started our journey from Bangalore to Wayanad driving a stretch of roughly 8 hours. We passed Banasurasagar Dam and reached a clearing where GPS showed that it was another 3 kms to the resort. There started a drive that brought out the adventurer in me as I felt nature surround us with wilderness and the sound of silence. The resort is on an island with a panoramic view of the backwaters. Our room was luxurious with all modern amenities. It was blissful to relax on the balcony while sipping a hot cup of coffee with a view of the water. The hospitality of the staff was truly noteworthy – everyone always greeted us with a smile, asking if we were having a comfortable stay. The food was extraordinary with a few special dishes added in with a surprise – I never knew beetroots could be made into delicious halwa!  Early morning, the entire resort was blanketed in mist, where just the day before we could clearly see the water, it was only the misty shadows everywhere we looked. Thank you Mountain Shadows, we are definitely coming back!

A magical place with stunning views of the dam and forest. We can see the sunrise and sunset from the resort absolutely picturesque.The reception staffs were courteous and polite, they were so happy to guide us. Food was great with lots of varieties. The resort and rooms are well maintained. I would recommend this place to family and friends as well.
