Best Northern Motel and Restaurant

The location was very pretty, and the trees surrounding the property made it feel very comfortably closed off from the road. Sadly, the restaurant wasn’t open when we went, but, 7 minutes down the road we had an excellent meal at the restaurant the a big goose on the top, very intriguingly decorated inside with wonderful food and staff.

Had to cancel due to weather condtions Manager has no service, no empathy, not understanding Manager insisted i should plan better even though weather is unpredictable and wasnt safe to drive. Outrageous, will ensure to share my experience by word of mouth

This motel advertised a restaurant, but it was closed. This should be reflected in their online presence. The motel is very dated and in need of some significant upgrades. On the plus side, the only employee was helpful and pleasant. The room was clean and we felt safe. The bed was comfortable. We slept well!

Was not able to take a shower because the water was running hot like boiling hot and will not become warm or cold. Apart from that it was ok.

The room was clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable. We both had great sleeps. No complaints!

One of the worst places I’ve ever stayed. Pics on Trip advisor are misleading they must be from previous owners. Rundown grounds outdated rooms. The last straw was watching bugs go in and out of holes in the bottom of the wall in the bathroom. I paid for 2 days and left after one.

Stayed 2 nights in one of the cottages. The cottage was clean and the bed comfortable, but the kitchen was poorly equipped and the couch was very uncomfortable. The coffee maker did not work. The water pressure dropped to nil in the middle of a shower.The staff were pleasant and helpful, but the lobby door was often locked and we had to search around to find someone for assistance.

We stayed because of pet friendly hotel. We also like the pictures of the rooms and the restaurant. The enterance and front desk was smelling of stale currie. Although we like cury, this was stomach churning! The restraunt did look very inviting, but again pungent smells sent us next door to a great family run gourmet restaurant. Loved the fish there. Dirt was noticably in the corners as we walked in. My wife pulled off the comforters and slept on the sheets in her clothes and shawl. The curtains had red spots that looked like blood spatter. A moldy smell prevaded the room and even after opening the windows for several hours was still apparent. The shower curtains were spotted with mould and the bathroom walls had dirty hand prints on the walls! The fridge smelled bad and we didn't even put our bottled drinks in it. We don't need to meantion the rock hard matress nor the 1950's decore! When we reviewed the pictures, we concluded that the bedroom pictures in NO WAY were comparable to reality! For $189 for one night's stay... we can only feel "highway robbery" I can only hope the management will take notice, before this rather nicely setup motel gets condemned by health authorities! Every other hotel was fully booked or we would have gone elsewhere.

can be difficult to find as its just off the side of the highway a little. but cozy and quiet.
