Our room was basic we were put right next to the entrance door so lots of noise, the room had obviously had plumbing issues as well as cleaning issues , there was mould on the bathroom tiles and the toilet had obviously been out and refitted poorly, the basin and bath had chips in the enamel.

28/12/24; Will not book this Prem Inn again. In dire need of renovation as our room was tired and sl.shabby. There is no security door to prevent non-guests going into the accomodation corridors. The hotel part is badly let down by The Swan pub next door where the breakfast is served. This pub is NOT part of the Prem Inn company. On our visit, the chef had not turned up for work and there was no hot food option on a miserable morning. Even more miserable was the 'continental' option. No fresh fruits: No white bread; lukewarm tea

We stay here quite frequently when visiting family but I felt compelled to write a review to share with potential customers. Our previous stays have been ok but there are a few things that need to be pointed out. The room was comfortable enough though looking a bit tired now when compared to other Premier Inns. Because it was warm and stuffy we slept with the window open. If you want to do this then ask for a room on the opposite side from the pub. As soon as they switch on the kitchen extractor system it is noisy and likely to disturb your sleep. My other gripes refer to breakfast. On the first morning there was no honey, the only fruit was a few manky apples and the toaster was cheap and slow. Not surprisingly the next morning the toaster was nowhere to be seen as it had broken and this morning there was honey but no marmalade available and no fruit at all. I went down at 9.00am and was told they stop serving hot food after 9.00 because they had to get ready for lunch! There was no mention of this anywhere on the literature that I could see. I felt particularly sorry for the Italian couple with two youngsters who struggled to understand this, along with me. All in all the sort of start to the day nobody needs. One got the impression that the staff in the pub providing breakfast were totally stressed out but, to their credit, they did their best and were very friendly. My recommendation is you get up early if you want a decent breakfast but be prepared to experience shortages.
