The hosts were great. The property is beautiful and the house is well maintained. We enjoyed the local wineries that were close by. The entire environment was very welcoming. If you like the local b&b versus the chained hotels this is a place for you to consider staying

Our experience with the Black Horse Inn has been nothing but horrible. We signed a contract with them January 2020 to host our wedding on 12/04/21 and were strung along with staff changes and changing deadlines with major renovations. Eventually in September 2021 we were told that the renovations that we were promised several times would be done by our wedding date wouldn’t be. We were forced to move venues and change caterers less then 2 months prior to our date. We were promised a refund but now have not been able to get in touch with anyone for months.

My review is this place was a total disaster. Two weeks before the wedding we had to find a new place. They were not helpful, they don't answer phones or emails, and they owe me thousands of dollars for almost a year now. This was a nightmare and they do not care.

They took our money for a wedding, deceived us about renovations being underway, kept stringing us along and refused to give us a refund. They used a temporary employee to tell us we needed to send advance payment (deposit) - then the employees left, emails were shut down, website shut down, but they still insisted they would be opening by the time of the wedding. They could no longer accept hotel reservations, no longer had a restaurant, had no liquor license, but nonetheless insisted they could continue with the wedding as planned. It's beyond bait and switch.
