Ah, where do I even begin with this five-star slice of purgatory? Let’s start with the ambiance: nothing screams “relaxing” quite like the dulcet tones of drunken brawls at 2 a.m. outside your door. It was a symphony of slurred insults, blood-curdling shrieks, and the occasional sound of someone attempting to break into your car. The security system? That would be you, nervously peeking through the curtains every five minutes to make sure your vehicle is still there. The room itself? Oh man, it was a time capsule. Step through the door, and you’re transported to a groovy 1970s nightmare, complete with furniture that looks stolen from the set of Austin Powers. Shagadelic, baby! The photos online must be from the owner's imagination—or perhaps taken in the 70s and never updated. The fridge decided to baptise the carpet overnight, leaving a fragrant swamp behind. It paired beautifully with the blackened, sticky carpet that turned your socks into souvenirs. The bathroom was a horror show in itself. The paint peeling off the walls gave a “chic urban decay” vibe, while the dangling light fixtures added a fun game of “Will it electrocute me?” every time you flipped the switch. Window mounted airconditioning sounded like it was groaning its last breath of barely cool air, not sufficient to make any type of impact in a hot, stuffy room. Wi-Fi? Non existant.. but who needs it when you have the entertainment of watching desperate souls scavenge cigarette butts outside your window? Truly, it was like a live-action reality show about survival of the fittest. But let’s give credit where it’s due: the staff. Cheerful, professional, and impressively unfazed by the chaos. They deserve medals—or at least hazard pay—for working in this cesspool of despair. In conclusion, if you’re looking for a dystopian holiday, a crash course in urban survival, or just a reason to reevaluate your life choices, this is the place for you. As for me? I wouldn’t stay here again if it was the last accommodation on Earth.

Smallish motel in need of updating. However rooms are clean, beds are comfortable. In Walgett you would not expect five star accommodation. For a short stay this is fine. Easy access to clubs for dinner. Close to cafes for breakfast and coffee.

Travellers beware this motel is nothing like the ad on the computer. Reception is dirty, cluttered and dark with ripped furniture. There is no pool and the barbecue is absolutely filthy. Ther is a laundry but is too is dirty and the drier door is taped up. In our room there are screws coming through the window frame, the smoke detector is disconnected and the light in the bathroom is broken. Dont look under the bed! The rooms might have been refurbished but it was a very long time ago. This establishment is not value for money

Room 13, when the door was opened, once you managed to jiggle it enough to get it opened, had an overwhelming smell of mould. Wall was all peeling paint and wet. Carpet was wet too leaking from the bathroom. Asked for another room. It also had mould issues in the bathroom. Bed was comfy. Rooms are in a dire need of a makeover.
