Clean rooms Great location Super Helpful and kind staff We haves stayed here twice now for winter games and will continue staying at the hotel! Got sick from the dinner at the tavern restaurant (half of our group did) Got charged taxes twice, not sure if that is normal but it was not explained Breakfast is underwhelming for a $736 2 day stay (packaged muffins and juice)

Beautiful building and rooms. Personnel tried to be helpful. However, no elevator working ( not for several weeks) but not mentioned until after checkin. Had we known, we would not have stayed here. Breakfast (?), joke. Parking - only 18 slots, most taken up by diners. We usually ended up parking on the street. Chairs in room were attractive but not suitable to sit in for extended lengths of time ( football games). I asked about a military discount for rates and was told the clerk did not know how to access it and so was declined. Overall, not quite the wonderful weekend we had planned.

There were no USB ports in the room, elevator was out of service, no desk in the room, poorly designed bathroom.

Great location next to Arnold’s Park. Room was clean beds comfortable. Was a little disappointed to find out on arrival that the tavern & grill at hotel was closed Sunday & Monday during our stay would have liked to tried it out. Would have been nice to know this upon booking reservation. Otherwise everything else was good.

Avoid this property if at all possible. We had a family event and needed to be close to Arnolds Park and were told this was the nicest hotel in the area.... I should have looked elsewhere. The Good: - It is within walking distance of Arnolds Park and the lake. The Bad: - Dirty, dark and dank rooms with worn out furniture and fixtures. There are two recessed lights in the entire room (including the bathroom) - not great when the walls are predominantly painted black/dark green. - The air conditioning is loud, dirty, smelly, and only cools the air - sort of - but does not remove the humidity so you have a cold, clammy sensation and the smell of old feet when you walk in the room. - There is no sound insulation. This appears to be a popular destination for young wedding parties - we felt like we were at the party that was above and beside us all night - but no one ever brought me a drink..... - Extremely limited parking - plan on parking on the street if you are lucky. - No views - except the parking lot and back of a large condominium complex that surrounds this property. - The joke of a continental breakfast consisted of one type of prepackaged muffin, two types of juice, and coffee - all this is yours for $300+ per night I could go on, but reliving this experience is quite traumatic. This is a part of the Ascend collection for Comfort Inn - which in this circumstance only refers to the price rising - nothing else is elevated above a Motel 6. It is obvious that the owner of this property is squeezing every last drop of profit out of it with no concern regarding the experience of their guests. My advice - sleep in your car in the middle of Summer in Iowa - far better experience.

The staff was kind and helpful. It was easy access to dining and shopping. The Tavern restaurant that is attached to the hotel has good food and the owners are of the restaurant are accommodating and friendly.

We had a nice stay. The pool is so cute. The rooms were very pretty and clean. Nice and friendly staff.
