Travelodge Wadebridge

Very comfortable bed, I slept like a baby and actually slept in longer than I usually do. The shower was great also with plenty of hot water. Location ok, Aldi and Tesco across the road and about a ten minute drive to Wade bridge centre for restaurants.

Next door pub/restaurant ,The Pearl and Trawl, presumably relying on hotel guests for their business, provided very poor guest relations. We had booked a total of 9 rooms varying in stay from 1 night to 7 ights and some of our group were refused a meal at 1800 because they were not allowing walk ins, in spite of the fact that the restaurant was almost empty. and a group of us were refused a drink at the bar at just after 2230 because they had decided to close early ! Absolutely shocking service form an establishment presumably relying on the hotel for its business. Won't be staying again.

The shower leaked overnight onto all bathroom floor, the window was broken, the view was worse than to the wall , the toilet stunk of urine, the shampoo made my hair impossible to brush, carpet was stinking horribly like dirty socks, there is enough milk only for one person for once. And there is no more at reception. But you can’t ask for it because there is never anyone at reception. No feet towel, no ventilation in the toilet, bedding was dirty , and when asked to change I had to put it on myself.

Room ok - but bathroom tiny, only one hand towel between 3 people. Also plastic walls in bathroom were cheap & nasty - No quilt on double bed - found in bag in wardrobe? So made myself?

Overall good One issue toilet bowl had not been brushed clean Noise from the road was to be expected Pub next door not open for breakfast But no problem as we found a farm shop close by

Hotel was ok but call centre wouldn’t let me alter booking despite paying for the option of doing that. Wasted trip and waste of money

Me and my partner stayed just for 1 Saturday night after the Cornwall show. We arrived on the Saturday morning and were told we could leave our car there from straight away (09.00) am.. great news !! We didn’t check in until the evening as was in the show ground all day but when we did the receptionist was so helpful and friendly, once we got to our room we were so pleased with it . It had obviously been updated and was spotless. Great facilities. Great quiet nights sleep, and a friendly check out wishing us well ! Will definitely return .. thank you ..

The cars driving past right outside the window were infrequent but very fast and noisy. I would lime to have shut the window but i didnt see a fan so had to leave it open. I had to make my own bed because TL have decided np one wants a duvet I the summer. The duvet cover doesn't do up so it's a PITA to make the bed and if you forget to take the top sheet off you get all tangled up in sheet and insecure duvet covers. The bathroom was rather smelly. The room itself was well aired hut that didn't extend to the bathroom. One day people that design TL rooms will realise that their older (50s) clientele need either magnifying mirrors or at least a mirror that you can get close to with decent lighting to be able to do your make up.

Arrived and checked in. Receptionist very pleasant & helpful. Got the key to our assigned room, went up top the room only to find that it was still occupied! Back to reception - very pleasant and appologetic. She checked all her systems and confirmed that the room had been cleaned and allocated to us. Fortunately she was able to get us another room. She was unable to offer any explanation of what had happened. Concern I have is how another key was able to be issued if the previous key had not been returned. Gave feedback to Travel Lodge a week ago and haven't heard anything! Unimpressed with their "customer service". Would not recommend. Last time I used them was many years ago and after being "bounced" from a prepaid room swore I would not use again. Still waiting for feedback on this issue and that was 15 years ago!!!!
