Somewhere Vouliagmeni

Our experience was so different to our expectations... Firstly on a major plus side, this is a beautiful intimate hotel with lovely staff who wish to make your experience memorable. Its located in the very  buzzy area of town just off a very busy main road. We had a marvellous view of the bay. However we had a terrible night's sleep due to the ongoing traffic that went on into till the early hours of the morning. We had read somewhere the rooms were soundproofed but the reoccurring highly revved vehicles constantly woke us up. It was a very busy bank holiday but this main road is always busy. Secondly as it was March the air con was not available so a hot room made things worse. We did not dare open the balcony window because of the noise. I also found the mattress very uncomfortable and simply too firm. I know many reported a very comfortable sleep but I suffered with lower back pain the following day. This is a very individual issue. Sadly the breakfast was also dissapointi g. The cooked food was excellent but at breakfast our fruit selection was limited to a bruised plum and a hard pear. It's a small hotel but more fresh fruit selection should be on offer. The staff were very kind in wishing to try and resolve the issue but the noise was outside their control. It is thus sadly impossible to give a good review.

Very pleasant hotel outside of Athens. Good size room and bathroom. Friendly and helpful service. Super nice neighborhood for walking around to restaurants and nice family homes. Also close to beach. Good access to airport for early flight on last day. Restaurant also was excellent. Overall very good experience.

Quite simply one of the most wonderful hotels we have ever stayed in. We were told when we arrived it was not a hotel but "home". We were most certainly treated like family and nothing was ever too much trouble. I am not going to single out any member of staff as EVERYONE was simply amazing - never encountered such service anywhere. The junior suite was immaculate, superb housekeeping, the pool area divine and the food, stunning. The breakfast especially could never be beaten. We have never been so sorry to leave "somewhere".
