Hotel Alpin Spa Tuxerhof

Another wonderful holiday at Tuxerhof! Everyone so very welcoming and friendly. The food is fantastic with special attention for my husband who is gluten free. The hotel is exceptionally relaxing and the setting is superb, with beautiful walks up to the alpine meadows from the front door. We will be back!!

I visited Tuxerhof Alpin Spa with my 11 year old son for the 4th or the 5th time. Which probably says everything (I usually don't repeat holiday locations). The place is simply perfect. Whether the cosy and comfortable rooms, the fantastic food, the different pools including infinity pool on the roof terrace and jacuzzi (hard to get my son out of the latter), the playground with table-football and table-tennis facilities, the vast sauna options, the well equipped gym, everything is just great. Best of all is the always polite and attentive staff, which makes you feel at home rather than in a hotel. It's the perfect place to feel well even on days when the weather isn't great and doesn't allow proper skiing.

A wonderful cosy, warm, relaxing place to spend two weeks. The most friendly but professional staff who all remember your name. The activities on offer are amazing and most at no extra charge. Guided hikes are excellent and when the weather changed to snow so the activities changed and we did snowshoeing. Perfect. The hotel has an amazing spa and other activities to do indoors too. The food is fabulous with lots of variation. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. We will be back for a third time very soon.

Best overall family ski holiday experience you can get. Amazing spa and kids facilities and the food is outstanding. Standards are exceptionally high whilst very welcoming and the staff are fantastic. This was our second time and will be definitely going for a third next year.

I booked this hotel based on its proximity to the Rastkogelbahn and the room descriptions and facilities described on the hotel website. We flew into Innsbruck and arranged a private transfer which took about 90minutes. The location of the hotel was great, with a short walk to the gondola. The bus stop for the glacier was a few steps from the ski room and ran frequently. The hotel is also adjacent to the Hexen Kessl, a must visit for some superb Austrian après! We received a very warm welcome when we arrived. Whilst our luggage was taken to the room and ski lockers, we were offered a welcome drink in the bar. We were also able to enjoy the afternoon food offering. After we’d finished our drink and food we were given a guided tour of the hotel. Very useful, as this was a first time visit. Our room (Junior Suite Burgjuwel) was great. Spacious with a generous seating area and double aspect, plenty of storage space for our clothes and ski gear and a lovely big and bright bathroom. It was quite warm at night but we simply turned off the radiator and opened a window. Housekeeping was very efficient and we loved the duvet art! We were on the first floor but would ask for a higher floor next time as that would afford a better view of the mountains. The food selection and quality at breakfast was excellent. From cereals, fruit, cheese, meats, pastries and bakery items to a selection of hot dishes, including omelettes made to order. I loved juicing my own carrots in the machine provided. The food choice and quality was also excellent in the afternoon and evening. It was great to come back from skiing and be able to grab a snack, either savoury or sweet or both. The evening meal comprised six courses, starting with your choice of salad, starter, soup, main, dessert and cheese. The wellness facilities were simply amazing. We loved the rooftop pool and the event sauna in particular. We had a fabulous time at the Tuxerhof and will definitely return.

The hotel has high quality level and keeps its cosy atmosphere. The restaurant is really great with many different excellent varieties from local dishes over fish and seafood to vegetarian meals. What we appreciate is, that even if there is a kids menu, every child can decide spontaneously to try a meal rom the "adults" menu. This allows to familiarize young children with different tastes. The guided tours for different fitness levels allow to discover nicde routses without the need for planning and offer the possibility to get in congtact with other hotle guests. What is really sepcial is the lounge area "Himmelreich" - where you can got at any time to relax, read etc. This is very valuable for us traveling with a teenager and a twen, as every one of us good find some extra privacy. I definitely recommed the wine tasting event and the Alm brunch.
