We have visited this resort four times now, but I must say that the quality of service has gradually declined over the years, which is a major disappointment for us. Our experience was full of issues from the very beginning of our stay. In one room, there was only one nightstand and absolutely no place to store belongings. After several requests to the Customer Relations department, we still didn’t receive a shelf or any other solution. The second room had the same problem with the lack of a nightstand by the double bed, which is unacceptable for a hotel of this category. This issue was only resolved on the third day after we sent a complaint to the delegate, following our initial request to the hotel’s customer relations. For four people, we were provided with only three blankets, and the fourth was only delivered after repeated requests. Even though we asked for it, toiletries in the bathroom of our family room were replenished only for two people. Daily intervention at the reception was necessary. Another concerning issue was the hygiene in the bars and restaurants. The cloth used to wipe tables was carried on the same tray as the glasses and dishes and was used on multiple tables without being rinsed. After wiping a table, the cloth was often just set aside, and table settings were placed without further care. This led us to conclude that hygiene standards were very low. Evening table settings in the restaurants were completely absent. In a five-star hotel, we expect fabric tablecloths and proper settings, not just a simple cloth pretending to be a tablecloth. Another major disappointment was the need to constantly follow up on every request. In a five-star hotel, I did not expect that requesting the replacement of a dirty blanket would result in returning to the room after an evening program only to find that the old blanket had been removed but a new one had not been provided. The only positive aspect of our stay was the staff, who tried to make up for the declining services year after year. I would particularly like to commend the restaurant manager, Omar, who went out of his way to ensure that everything was provided for our gluten-free son, including securing a Magnum ice cream from a nearby supermarket, as it was the only gluten-free option available and not part of the regular ice cream counter offerings. In conclusion, although this was our fourth vacation here, we must acknowledge that the declining quality of services cannot be compensated by the friendly and helpful staff, who, fortunately, still make up the majority of the team.
