Stadthotel Restaurant Auerhahn

we were at the hotel for the weekend thanks to the advent Christmas markets. This hotel is dirty, there is a layer of dust on all floors including the restaurant that has not been cleaned this day. After moving the bed, there is dirt and dust in the room, as well as used tissues. the entrance to the bathroom is separated by inadequate transparent glass. The fan and switches in the bathroom did not work. Dirt everywhere you look, including a dirty and dust-covered table. the included breakfast was literally a tragedy and 20 years later. The staff is rude and unpleasant. Someone should send hygiene to the hotel and check the kitchen and warehouse there, there will probably be unsatisfactory conditions for running the hotel. I do not recommend this hotel, the owner is a pig and a fraud who should have his license taken away!

Stayed here with a Leger coach tour. All bedrooms used were dirty, some were not cleaned for us on arrival. Our bedroom had a dirty towel on the bathroom floor from previous usage, the shower flooded the floor as the solid shower curtain did not fit properly, Nasty marks on the wall , one bedside lamp not working, TV dirty and did not work. Large no of plugs using an extention cable. Found 10 fabric napkins and and a glade spray on the table!!! Floor needed a hoover, before being cleaned or replaced. Starter of salad which was in various bowls was not covered, and was put out far too early, attractive attractive flies.

Worst breakfast experience ever!Breakfast area was dirty, tables werent cleaned- we literally had to remove ourselves dirty plates , cups and leftovers after guests that had breakfast before us, if we wanted to sit there and eat. No cooked food, only cold cuts. Ok, besides eggs.Eggs were not cooked properly. Couldnt eat mine, disguisting.I tasted some kind of cheese pastry, it was about a week old and tasted weird. Bad selection of cereal, only those horrible over sugared-ones.Staff was there, but they didnt clean up, they were only refilling coffee and hot water jugs and just ignored the chaos. Plus- comfy beds, warm room and relatively clean bathroom. For sleepover only, please skip the breakfast. I think It will take some time for me to delete those images from my head.

I travelled with Crusader Holidays, arrived 9th Sept left 15th Sept 23 Hotel is right in the Centre of Vocklabruck. Most of the staff were rude or simply ignored you if you dared to speak to them or get their attention. Food was terrible, think they felt we were just a Coach party (and English) so any old muck for evening dinner would be ok, dinner and breakfast included in our package. Frozen veg not properly defrosted, carrots and peas like bullets. Rice or potato’s every night on their own or together. Was short changed twice by the staff, one staff member admitting their error, and still gave me wrong change after that. Bar Manager and good friend of owner was rude, and wanted us out of bar in eve, demanding we pay bill and leave.we were residents ! The hotel is in desperate need of refurbishment and still sits in the 1960’s and so does the owner. Insisted on moving room on day one, given room 405 which was a death trap on top floor, 4 rung step ladder left in room for us to trip over and we are both disabled ! Got moved to Room 306 next day, which was an improvement. Many fellow coach travellers complained about hotel and food and rooms to owner but ultimately ignored. I hope someone at Vocklabruck or Austrian Tourist board reads this because Hotel Aurehahn is a disgrace. The owner in his 70’s has probably made a fortune from this place over the years and thinks he’s fireproof. Locals told me he pretty much owns and runs the town, lending money to start up cafes and businesses in the town centre if it suits his purpose. I have never stayed in such a bad hotel as this and have no idea why Crusader Holidays used it ? Shame really, coz it’s such a pretty little town, with idyllic surroundings, and useful to get to lakes etc. Please don’t stay there, it’s ghastly !

Caratteristico Hotel austrico, appena ristrutturato bagni completamente rifatti, ben arredato. Ho apprezzato l'estrema cortesia del personale che si è prodigato nell'ospitalità del nostro gruppo (110 persone) e ci ha dato la possibilità di tenere un incontro nella stanza da pranzo collaborando nella "logistica " della sitemazione. Buona la pulizia degli ambienti. La qualità del cibo è buona anche se per un palato italiano qualcosa può essere dissonante (composta di ribes con la fettina alla milanese)

Ich rate jedem, der dieses Hotel buchen möchte, davon ab - sucht euch was anderes!! Alles ist besser, als das! Auch wenn ihr ein Zimmer gebucht habt, könnt ihr euch nicht sicher sein, ob ihr ein Zimmer bekommt. Dies kommt wohl auf die Stimmung des Besitzers an. Die Geschichte dazu: Obwohl ich zweimal anrief, um das Hotel zu benachrichtigen, dass wir am Abend anreisen (letzte Möglichkeit für den Check-In war laut Buchungsbestätigung 00:30) und mir versichert wurde, dass dies kein Problem sei, wurde uns beim Einchecken mitgeteilt, dass das Zimmer an andere vergeben wurde. Der Besitzer versuchte uns ein anderes kleines Zimmer mit zwei Einzelbetten (wir hatten ein Doppelbett gebucht) aufzudrängen. Da wir meinten, wir müssten uns das noch kurz überlegen, da wir eigentlich mit unserem gebuchten Zimmer gerechnet hätten, wurde er plötzlich aggressiv, zerriss unseren Anmeldezettel und schickte uns weg. So standen wir um halb 11 abends ohne Zimmer mitten in Vöcklabruck.
