When we booked the 39St George we were unaware that it was not a hotel, but a B&B. Therefore, the services were extremely limited. The lovely young woman who gave us our key worked as a waitress in the two cafes in the square (where breakfast is provided) and therefore is rarely in the B&B. For an older couple and one who needs services and advice about the area, this is not a property to choose. However, the room was pleasant even though the window faces a wall, a shaft. Getting the penthouse is probably the best option. It is in a very good part of Victoria.

Lovely old building but very modern inside. Excellent location for exploring Victoria( Rabat).
Would have liked the choice of a continental breakfast

All the ladies were nice and helpful. Breakfast was great, my room was awesome. I had a great time in Victoria. I would recommend the hotel to others!

Right on St George’s share amongst all the restaurants. A bit difficult to find in the narrow historic centre. Ideal location for walking to the Cittadel and other historical sites in Victoria.
The penthouse suite was just lovely. Breakfast was ok and adequate. at the restaurants downstairs.

What a little gem this place is. Beautiful, quirky and unique rooms. Comfy bed, great service and a good quality breakfast. Everything you need. It’s right in the middle of the square but not noisy at all. If you’re staying in Victoria, this is your place.

Set in a bustling square with its spectacular basilica, this property was very convenient and welcoming.

The hotel is so charming. Make sure to book a room with a view of the square. This was our favorite hotel of our time in Malta. If you are a light sleeper note that the church bell rings all night and the Wi-Fi is spotty.

This is a luxury bed and breakfast NOT a hotel, so you cannot expect a concierge service (a previous reviewer was shocked that there wasn't anyone to arrange a taxi for them). If you require a taxi I recommend Gerry Formosa on gerry@gozo-taxi.com - his team are very attentive and accommodating. We used Gerry for a cab from the airport to Rabat/Victoria and that was 75 euro and a cab from R/V to Valletta and that was a little more, as you have to pay on the return ferry crossing. Back to 37 St. Georges Square, I can't fault it at all. The rooms were large, spotless, in good decoration and had a separate shower away from the bath. Breakfast was very good and available in two of the bars/restaurants on the square.

+ fantastic location right in the center of the city + nice building, well built/restores with attention to details + big room (we had nr 2, facing the square, 1st floor + easy check-in / check-out - the bathroom could use some upgrades (shower door doesn't stop the water, not enough place to put your stuff)
