Relais San Giuliano

I am staying here in this hotel right now and at first I can say I was surprised by the beautiful garden and it's building, it's from 17th century and really charming but when I went to our room I wasn't really happy with the setting especially the bathroom because there is no hanger for the towels and the air conditioning in the room doesn't work properly so the room becomes really humid after taking a shower. Another thing that really shocked us was the small lava stones rain from Mont Etna's volcano that falls on you and it really shocked us because apparently it's really common here and they didn't mention it at all on their website. So, we had to take a shower right away because there were small rocks in our hair and we couldn't use the swimming pool because it's covered with tiny black pebbles all over the pool. Since it's a bit far from Taormina( 55 minutes drive) you have nothing to do here and having a closed pool it's not fun for a family with two kids. Breakfast was really basic, mostly sweets and they don't have any kind of eggs, if you want you have to order a la carts with extra charge. At first I thought this property can become part of Relais et chateaux but it's far away from their standards.

We were so pampered in this hotel. Nothing was too much to ask. Delicious dinner, delicious breakfast, sea comfortable room... but it was the staff that made it perfect. So friendly and service oriented. Small scale hotel, so attentive staff and plenty of space at the beautiful swimming pool. You will not regret it!

We were just really amazed by this wonderful place. The staff is so friendly and professional. Everything is beautiful, luxurious, and thoughtfully designed. The food is fantastic (we had the chance to enjoy the barbecue night, what a beautiful surprise!). Don't miss this spot if you're visiting Sicily!

I have to be honest though, staffs are really nice and helpful and we had a dinner at their more casual restaurant and food was really delicious. At first I thought this property can become part of Relais et chateaux but I think it misses a lot of their standards .

I've spent a fantastic week at this beautiful hotel. The room was luxurious, the food delicious and the staff very friendly and helpful. I also enjoyed the lovely pool a lot. And to top it of, there is a lovely spa! I am totally relaxed now after a week!

One of my favorite boutique hotels! I have been there already 3 times :) It was clean, stylish, with excellent service, great food! We had a good stay in the hotel as the staff service was attentive and responsive.

An oasis of calmness, luxury, top culinary experience, in a neighborhood where you'd think 'how did I end up here'. Amazing experience, good base to visit Etna and Catania.

Great Experience at Relais San Giuliano. The whole team was very friendly and made us feel home. The food is extraordinary good and they considered our special wishes that were not available on the menu. We didn’t expect that we were able to enjoy the pool in beginning of April and can recommend to visit the hotel in this season. Thank you to the whole team for this great experience.

My wife and I got married at the Relais San Giuliano in September 2023. We were guests of the Relais in 2021 and fell in love with it. The lovely atmosphere, the staff and the quality of the food made us pick this location to celebrate the most important day of our lives. I must say, it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. We reserved the hotel for a two-night stay (Friday and Saturday), surrounded by our closest friends and family. From start to finish, it was nothing short of amazing. Based on our previous experience as guests, we had high expectations. But Enrico and the team managed to beat them, by far. The food, service, rooms and amenities were just perfect. Their attention to detail is just incredible. The team is always there for you, but without ever being intrusive. All of our guests were astonished. And the location...it's hard to find the right words to describe it. Relais San Giuliano is a hidden gem -- a fusion of traditional Sicilian aesthetics and contemporary luxury. The stunning pool area was an oasis of relaxation for us and our guests the day after the wedding. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, to all the staff for making our wedding celebration so perfect. Special thanks to Enrico, Kelvin and Gaetano.
