Hotel Palazzo Barbarigo Sul Canal Grande

Beautiful hotel on the Grande Canal. We stayed there for 4 wonderful nights. The rooms are quiet and comfortable. Nicolette and Stefano were outstanding hosts and assisted with everything from restaurant reservations, water taxis and mixing delicious spitzes in the delightful lounge area.

Nicoletta and her brother Stefano are wonderful innkeepers! Nicoletta is delightful. She is very welcoming and made arrangements and reservations for our group of 8. The hotel is beautiful on the grand canal. It is in the perfect location and a short walk to anywhere. The rooms are quiet and comfortable. There is a lovely gathering area with a bar that Stefano I highly recommend staying there for the best Venice experience!!

My friend and I stayed here for three nights and it was so lovely. Nicolletta and Stephano weren't great hosts. They are so kind, pleasant and helpful. We look forward to returning again some day. Lauria Bell-Hughes

Our stay at the Hotel Palazzo Barbarigo was absolutely wonderful, not only because the property itself is so beautiful and perfectly located, but also due to the incredible kindness and professionalism of Nicoletta and Stefano. We were greeted warmly after the water taxi ride from the airport (HIGHLY recommend!), and given an overview of Venice with a map, which proved to be IMMENSELY helpful later (do not rely on your phones for directions). Then we were showed our beautiful rooms, where they had provided a complimentary bottle of prosecco, and asked when we would like breakfast. Which we had on the terrace every morning, as that space is allocated to reserving the junior suite room 10. We spent every morning on that terrace watching all the activity on the canal (which we could not hear at all at night in our rooms). Nicoletta and Stefano provided excellent suggestions for restaurants, and set us up with a trip to Murano for a glass making tour. They also coordinated our water taxi ride to the train station. Upon being dropped off with what we thought was all our luggage, my mother realized that she left her backpack (with her passport!) in the water taxi, which had just departed. We called the hotel and asked if they could call the service and ask the driver to come back. After what seemed like a year's passing (about 10 minures in reality) the boat driver came back, drove between all the boats zipping in and out, and managed to hand the backpack off to my husband, in time to make our train! Nicolleta went above and beyond to help us avoid distaster! I can't thank her and Stefano enough for the memories they gave us to cherish in Venice. I highly recommend staying at this gorgeous hotel. We are already planning a return trip!

Our first trip to Venice and what a nice surprise the Hotel Palazzo Barbarigo was! Owner and manager Nicoletta Cortiana does not miss a trick. The hotel is modern, the our room was beautiful and comfortable and the breakfast amazing. Nicoletta and brother, Stefano were very friendly and helpful. They provided maps and recommendations, made reservations and were always available to answer questions. If you're going to Venice this is a great place to stay!

We had a fantastic 10 year anniversary stay at the hotel. Nicolette was fantastic, giving us plenty of recommendations and tips on where to walk and what to see. Our room was beautiful and had the most amazing view of the Grand Canal. Comfortable, stylish, with a complimentary bottel of Prosecco and local biscuits. Breakfasts were good, with fresh fruit, cheese, meats and bread and really good coffee! Eggs available on order. We took the offer of a free speedboat trip to the glass factory in Murano and really enjoyed it. The salespeople weren’t too pushy but showed us everything and gave us coffee and biscuits, then gave us recommendations to the sights in Murano and advice on how to get to Burano from there. We’re already dreaming of a return trip and would love to stay here again!
