I recently stayed at Hotel Palazzo Giovanelli during a spring getaway to Venice, and I absolutely loved it. This historic property has been thoughtfully and tastefully remodeled, and the results are breathtakingly beautiful—combining modern luxury with classic Venetian charm. Upon entering, I was immediately taken by the elegant lobby. The renovation shines through in the clean architectural lines, contemporary art pieces, and chic furnishings. Natural light floods the common spaces, giving an open, airy ambiance. It’s obvious that no detail was spared when updating this once-classic palazzo into a sophisticated hotel experience. My room was equally impressive. Spacious yet cozy, it featured a plush king-size bed, soft linens, and a well-designed layout that maximizes convenience without sacrificing aesthetics. The modern bathroom was a delight—complete with a walk-in rain shower, premium toiletries, sleek fixtures, and excellent water pressure. I particularly appreciated the thoughtful amenities like accessible USB outlets by the bedside, strong Wi‑Fi, and generous storage space. Service at Palazzo Giovanelli was consistently warm and professional. The staff welcomed me with genuine smiles and were always ready to provide excellent recommendations—from hidden local eateries to the best vaporetto stops. They took great care of luggage arrangements and helped secure early-shuttle assistance, which made early travel days much smoother. Location-wise, it couldn’t be better. Nestled on the Grand Canal just a few minutes from the Santa Lucia train station, it offers picturesque water views and easy access to Venice’s iconic sights. Yet inside, the hotel is a peaceful oasis—rarely did I hear any canal noise. Breakfast was another highlight: a lovely buffet featuring fresh pastries, local cheeses, cured meats, fruit, and hot espresso—sets you up perfectly for exploring the city. In summary, Hotel Palazzo Giovanelli delivers an incredible stay—melding modern sophistication with historical elegance. If you’re seeking a stylish, comfortable, and beautifully renovated retreat in Venice, this hotel is an outstanding choice. Highly recommended—I can’t wait to return!

This was a beautiful hotel with incredible amenities and right next to a taxi stop on the canal. One of the best locations only three stops away from the train station.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to all the staff we met last week during our 4 night stay - we were made to feel so welcome and at home. Venice is a beautiful city and we were blessed with great weather (at the beginning of March even!) therefore fortunate to see a lot of it. But what makes for a great holiday are the people you meet - thank you all for making our trip so memorable.

I took my wife to celebrate her 50th birthday with our family and Hotel Palazzo Giovanelli did not dissapoint. From our first arrival the staff we absolutely wonderful. The rooms, fantastic, clean and well appointed. The location of the hotel is perfect for an arrival from the airport via water taxi or Vaporetto and is within easy walking distance from all the main areas, however, it is in a really nice and quiet location, meaning you do not feel in the middle of the tourist maddness! A great base for a stay in Venice - highly recommended. We will definately be back!

This was first stop on our vacation . For my taste the hotel was a little far out from the main attractions . It was nice place small room but was very disappointed . Paid for upgraded deluxe room with canal view . The windows were inches from floor less then two feet high . I would have needed to lay on my stomach to see the view . This clearly did not meet my expectation and feel like they had no right to chg extra for a useless view . Breakfast was good staff attentive
