Dimora del Prete di Belmonte

The team at Dimora welcomed us with open arms and provided a comfortable and cozy place for our family while we were visiting the area. The breakfast helped make our day easier, traveling with a little one. The historical building was a beautiful location to stay. Close to many restaurants, bars, cafes and shops - all walkable. The hosts take great pride in the building, were willing to share their knowledge with us. there was even a full write up in our room. We were able to park close by.

What a beautiful place! It is old, to be sure, but has so much history! We were taken on a tour of the mansion, and it is like a museum! The murals on the walls and ceilings are spectacular. We had a delicious breakfast, in a beautiful room. We were in Venafro to go to the WinterLine WWII museum, which was also a tremendous experience!

We loved the breakfast with warm croissants and homemade cherry jam. The ambience in the palazzo was charming and our host Dorothy was welcoming. We loved our private terrace next to the bell towers. We love Venafro. And don't miss Luciano's Winterline Museum.

Oh boy. I don’t really know how to explain myself and how huge impact this place made. This was one of those: let’s select some interesting looking hotel in some Italian city randomly from ********** and book it. And that we did because this place pulled towards. And it didn’t disappoint. Whole arrival to the city was enjoyable experience, because it combines beautifully old architecture which has been renovated and the mountain views just adds on everything. This B&B is marvelous and the property is HUGE - in a good way. You will enjoy the atmosphere of old times and also feeling like you would be in a movie. Hand painted frescos in the walls, stairway is very beautiful without forgetting the garden in the yard. Everything works very well and Dorothy really made us feel very relaxed from the moment of entering the property. Plus great breakfast. This place is amazing, I even can’t describe how beautiful and impactful this whole experience staying here really were. Highly recommended!

Ho scelto Venafro perchè mi ha interessato un servizio TV che descriveva un borgo molisano a me sconosciuto e, per mia moglie e per me che da anni viaggiamo in treno, ben raggiungibile da Bologna. E per giunta collegato con treni o bus a località vicine quali Montecassino, Colli a Volturno, Isola del Liri, Isernia e la bellissima cripta di Epifanio! Nonchè sede di un bel castello e interessanti palazzi, chiese e musei. Scelto il luogo di una settimana di vacanze ed il periodo giusto (dal 16 al 18 giugno ogni anno Venafro organizza un'animata festa patronale!), mancava l'albergo. E la scelta è caduta subito sulla magica Dimora del Prete di Belmonte, attraente palazzo nel centro di Venafro. Ma la realtà ha superato le pur elevate aspettative! Detto che già in fase organizzativa la signora Dorothy, proprietaria del bellissimo palazzo convertito da anni in albergo, è stata di grande aiuto e collaborazione, al mio arrivo abbiamo trovato un'accoglienza deliziosa. Ed il palazzo ci è apparso subito in tutta la sua magia: arredi storici ed artistici in ottimo stato di conservazione, una camera confortevole con vista sul pese e sulle vicine montagne, una sala colazione la cui vista invitava al relax, una colazione varia e gustosa sempre servita in modo garbato e professionale. E non poteva mancare la visita al palazzo, illustrato sapientemente dalla signora Dorothy, la cui empatia era pari alla cortesia, ben coadiuvata da Angela, collaboratrice ed esperta guida. Il bel giardino era il giusto riposo serale dalla calura pomeridiana. E l'aiuto per raggiungere la stazione, pur non lontana, sempre cortese e provvidenziale! Per finire, i consigli sui ristoranti di Venafro si sono rivelati sempre azzeccati! E' stata una bellissima settimana in una regione, il Molise, che non solo esiste, ma fa scoprire tesori di paesaggio, monumenti, cibi e grande umanità!

Ons recente verblijf in het prachtige Palazzo Dimora del Prete di Belmonte in Venafro was werkelijk een onvergetelijke ervaring. De eigenaresse, Dorothy, toonde zich een uitmuntende gastvrouw en zorgde ervoor dat we ons vanaf het eerste moment thuis voelden. De service in deze B&B was uitzonderlijk. Dorothy’s aandacht voor detail en haar warme gastvrijheid maakten ons verblijf zeer aangenaam. De kamers zijn elegant ingericht met antieke meubels en bieden een adembenemend uitzicht op de vallei van de Volturno en de omliggende bergen. Het palazzo zelf ademt geschiedenis en charme, met prachtige fresco's en een serene binnentuin.De omgeving van Venafro is betoverend. We genoten van wandelingen door het historische centrum, ontdekten de rijke geschiedenis van de stad. En de vriendelijke uitbaters van de horeca gelegenheden in het oude centrum. Het ontbijt in de betoverende en met fresco’s versierde ontbijtzaal was uitgebreid en uiterst goed verzorgd. Pure verwennerij. Als er iets is dat "La Dolce Vita" benadert, dan is het wel een verblijf in Dimora del Prete di Belmonte. We waanden ons als koning en koningin in Italië en kunnen deze unieke ervaring ten zeerste aanbevelen aan iedereen die op zoek is naar een combinatie van luxe, geschiedenis en warme gastvrijheid. Bedankt, Dorothy, voor een onvergetelijke tijd. We kijken ernaar uit om terug te keren!
