Hotel U Frascone

Loved this hotel! We chose it to be near Corte and the Restonica and the location was very convenient. The building itself and the common areas look like a stately family manor. Our large and attractive room was on the top floor with a beautiful view of the hills below. It was in a small alcove with its own "front" door with a second bedroom for family stays and a modern bathroom between them. The breakfast was fine : a cold buffet with as much good coffee as you want, served on a gorgeous open-air porch with a wide view of the lush mountains. Difficult leaving it to set out for the day! The restaurant in town is only a few-minute walk away but the first stretch is on a winding main road with no sidewalk and a fair amount of traffic, which wasn't awful but also not so great, especially on the way back in the dark. The second night we took the car instead, though it did seem silly for such a short distance, and even more so after we couldn't find a place to park near the restaurant. The discounted dinner menu (offered by the hotel when booking) was only okay. If we ever get back (hope so!), I'll go for the full menu instead. The restaurant was full of other customers and the dishes being served around us looked tastier than what we got. The only wrinkle was that no one helped us get our luggage up the steep and narrow winding stairs to our room. We came with carry-ons; don't know what we'd have done if we'd had full-sized suitcases! As we were leaving, one of the cleaning staff noticed us struggling just as we were near the bottom and ran up to help. Wish that had happened when we first arrived!

No elevator, uncomfortable spiral stairs, no kettle to boil water in the room, gap between advertising for a 2-room apartment + a patio balcony, in practice or, a two-room apartment without a balcony or, one-room apartment with a balcony.

We can't say a bad word about the hotel. Breakfast was good. The view of the hills is superbe. The room was comfortable. The staff was very nice. The hotel is a bit out of the village but you can easily walk over there. What we didn't like is the restaurant De La Place which is from the same owner and where you end up anyway because it's the only restaurant in town. Service was really bad - we had to order several times because drinks didn't come. They gave other drinks as we had ordered. The waiters don't care much... Food also wasn't good at all. The first day I tried the fish that was recommended ; it had no taste. The second day I took the stew with veal and olives. The sauce was too watery and the meat was dry. It's a shame because the hotel was good...

Bel hôtel bien tenu, très bien décoré avec de beaux matériaux et meubles, de bon goût. Belles chambres spacieuses, propres. Bonne literie. Très belle vue, accueil chaleureux, petit déjeuner complet et bon, belle salle où belle terrasse quand il fait beau. Espaces communs très intimistes où il fait bon boire un verre ou se délasser. On espère pouvoir y retourner bientôt !

L’hôtel ne paye pas de mine à l’extérieur, mais une fois rentrée dans l’établissement vous êtes transporté dans un hôtel vintage mais très élégant! La déco est soignée, le lit très confortable. Petit déjeuner complet. Très bon rapport qualité prix

Belle petite hôtel,par contre pour le lunch et souper il n’y a qu’un resto dans ce village où il y a rien à voir sinon c’est Corte qui est à 20 minutes , le déjeuner est à l’hôtel dans un beau décors Il n’y a pas d’ascenseur si vous avez de très lourd bagages Qualité /prix excellent et belle grandeur de chambre

Un hôtel, aux portes de corte, une superbe vue sur la montagne, très bonne literie. L'hôtel est décoré avec goût. Le personnel très accueillant, et le petit déjeuné super rapport qualité prix, avec le levé de soleil et la vue imprenable sur les montagnes.

L’hôtel U Frascone est un très beau petit hôtel qui vous donnera l’impression d’être reçu chez des amis. Les chambres sont toutes décorées avec beaucoup de goût, les livres sont omniprésents. Literie très confortable, salles de bains parfaites. L’hôtel est bâti à flanc de montagne avec une superbe vue sur la vallée. S’il fait beau vous pourrez prendre le petit-déjeuner sur la terrasse avec une très belle vue. Pour dîner, je recommande le bar-restaurant de la Place (environ 15 minutes à pied) où j’ai très bien mangé.
