Parc Hotel Gritti

Friendly staff. Old, worn out hotel, but somehow ok. and clean. Breakfast of poor quality and restaurant too expensive compared to the quality they serve. Cannot be recommended. Pool was alright. Lido Mirabello Beach is nice, if you are lucky to get a sun chair for you during the day.

Just back from staying at this hotel and all in all a disappointing experience. I sadly ‘lost’ a very important family bracelet and can say with certainty that this has been taken from the room. When discussing with hotel reception I had to say the story of it going missing each time, something of this importance should be share amongst all staff? I can’t stress enough to hide your things away if you are staying here! The hotel itself is in a great location but definitely needs updating along with the cleaning standards particularly the toilets by the pool - definitely not a four star hotel!

I was very disappointed by the food dining in the restaurant. The waiters were also very disappointed because we didn't order any drinks, they became very unfriendly, especially the one who looked like the main waitress.

Good hotel in a great location for the town centre, and lake, literally just opposite the pool , Yes it’s a wee bit tired and needs some repairs, pool is lovely, never had an issue getting sun bed or parasol, lots of space, pool toilets are not the best, down a lot of stairs and a bit smelly, but it’s a nice hotel, clean and tidy, food is fair to middling, seemed to be more German guests than anything else, staff well versed in German, more so than English, but that’s our bad, should have learned more Italian before going ! Bar pool staff are excellent, and so friendly ! Would I stay here again? Yes, if I was staying in bardolino again, but preferred Garda as a town, so would probably go back and stay there again.

The hotel was clean and beautifully kept. The pool was fantastic and always enough subbed whatever time of day. Rooms were cleaned very well and bathroom was stocked with all toiletries. Breakfast was stand but good choice of most things for an European breakfast. The food in the evening was perfectly adequate but was a little uninspiring. Some singing entertainment for some evenings. Easy walk into town area where there are many restaurants and bars

Just returned from 10 nights at the beautiful Parc Gritti Hotel. PROS: We stayed in room 215 which overlooked the centre courtyard which was full of well cared for plants and water features, it was great. The room was really comfortable and well equipped with a good sized balcony. The hotel is very clean, a bit dated but it didn’t prove to be a problem. The pool is really nice with plenty of loungers, the inside pool is really nice as well. Bardolino is very close (walkable) and beautiful, a great boardwalk, an absolutely huge market on Thursday and it is very spacious unlike some of the towns on the lake, with a nice atmosphere, it was our favourite town along with Lazise, the most popular town is Simione, imagine Venice at midday in the middle of summer, it is packed! The ferries are great and good value, the buses though are very infrequent, either every 30 or 60 minutes and occasionally full. CONS: As said before in other reviews the food is awful, poor quality, luke warm, with a lack of decent variety, you travel to Italy to eat ITALIAN food, not goulash or Chinese chicken, the pasta was straight out a packet, the sauces looked like that, very little variety. Half way through we decided to change from half board to B&B so we could get some decent food in Bardolino, which we did. Breakfast was a joke with no logical layout, people walking around aimlessly looking for things like butter, breads, fruit, etc, the toasters were useless, the cooked breakfast is poor quality and sometimes cold. No one smiled, everyone looked as though they were going through the motions in a very poor buffet. The staff were mainly surly and ignored you and at times downright rude. They have two buffet restaurants for breakfast one closes at ten and they slowly set tables for the evening meal so limiting where you can sit, the layout of the second is totally different from the first. The Piano bar wasn’t open at any time. The Entertainment is poor. The TV just has BBC world to cater for UK guests, whereas other nationalities get loads of choice. They only have european sockets no USB ports. The entrance to the hotel doesn’t have a ramp to wheel your case up, only stairs and no porter. The lifts seem to be from the 60s and are very small. You can eat in the Grill which is supposed to be a la carte, which you have to book, they have a huge menu with about 80-100 items on it, what they don’t tell you is that if you on half board they give you a small menu with 12 items on it which never changes. They change rules daily, for example when we checked in no one ask us for a credit card, we charged drinks to our room with no problem, suddenly half way through the stay a board appeared saying you had to have the word Cashless stamped on you room card, without warning anyone, which resulted in me being rudely refused a drink in the bar. The hotel is fine probably not 4* but the food is 2* they really need to sort this out as soon as possible.

Hotel in fantastic location, right on lakeside easy walking to Garda and Lasize. Very friendly bar staff but not so the restaurant staff. The hotel is very clean with rooms cleaned daily. If you like ducks this is the hotel for you as the hotel has a resident family of ducks who use the pool daily and also look for food scraps in the poolside restaurant. The big downside of this hotel is the food, very poor quality and is never warm enough, I mean who likes stone cold fried eggs, had ice cream on our first night but not again as apparently the ice cream machine was broken. All in all a good hotel but they really need to get their act together regarding the food.

Nice hotel on the edge of the lake. Little bit dated but position makes up for that. Handy for walking to Bardolino,Lazise and Garda. Good pool and good bar staff. Comfortable rooms and very quiet surroundings. Big disappointment was the food which was repetitive and always cold. Served very small portions and always had to ask for more. Ended up eating out most nights.

The fitness instructor kept flirting and trying it on with us. Not happy 😡 He needs to be sacked… he was constantly flirting with ladies and female staff… it was like he thought he was gods gift! He almost touched me where he shouldn’t have. Really spoilt the holiday for me and friends.
