Apartment with breathtaking view over the lake, no car needed

Better off in a hotel In general, the apartment was fine, however many issues added up to make this stay bad.First, there were only sheets for one bed despite it being a 3br apartment. I had the ask the host 4 times for extra linens, which he provided on the last day of our stay. Also, the listing advertises 4 twin beds, there were only 3.Another odd moment happened when a caretaker had to get into the apartment to fix a clogged sink. I’m thankful the host was able fix the issue on short notice. However, when his assistant apparently arrived at the apartment the host called me and sent me multiple messages asked where I was and saying the assistant could not get in. First, the owner never said I needed to be at the apartment to meet the assistant. Second, the key was in the lockbox the entire time and shouldn’t an assistant have a key anyway? It was a strange interaction. More issues:Hot water in the shower only lasts a few minutesNo curtains/shutters on the main bedroom windowYou must have a key to get out of the building’s main door, this seems like a fire hazardStains on the pillows and mattressesThe pillows are very thin, not enough provided The towels felt old and cheap

Beautiful views We loved our stay in this beautiful location. Views of lake Como were stunning. The apt is located close to town center and is a great place to stay. Loved the apt

Gorgeous view and great area! If you’re staying in Varenna it’s hard to imagine a more beautiful place. Easy access from the train or ferry, incredible views from your private balcony, and plenty of space. Would absolutely stay again!
