The place is right in the heart of kashi, at shivala ghat.The welcome stay , Arati, Food and stay by the ganga maiya was a blissful experience. The hotel porters were helpful. All staff are wonderful Especially Mr. Uday , Krishna Gopal , Hasan , sanjay ji.

What a beautiful Haveli! Amazing place to visit! The ambience is incredible & what makes it incredible is their staff. Mr Pankaj Mahajan who has maintained the hotel and hospitality well. Welcome arranged by Uday and his team was so warm and feel amazing! The knowledge about Kashi, he briefed was great. Food was great, delicious thank u all the chefs who were doing such a great job. The service team was next level, a great team, they give the comfort and luxury both while serving also they takes care of ur all the little things. Especially Brijesh: an asset to the hotel. He know my mom like to drink milk before sleep, such a great gesture. Vikash and jyoti and other sorry if I missed the name. But thank you guys. House keeping team also did the great job, they have taken care of our all the things! Thank u for giving extraordinary services. Thank you for making our stay most memorable as we wanted to stay more in the hotel rather then visiting the city...... Amazing team, great hospitality beautiful place with great view of ganges. Will highly recommend!!!!!

The Hotel was recommended by a friend from Banaras. First thing if you are reading this post, book your stay first !! The place is beautiful. Clean. Well maintained. The staff is amazing. Each and everyone. From Porter, reception, room service and restaurant. The Manager had a solution for everything. Service and food were amazing. They exactly knew how to take care of the Guests From welcome to good bye & see you again. The Hotel has an old charm. The location is perfect. Imagine taking just stairs to reach Ganga-Ji (as they refer). All the rituals can be done by the Shivala ghat. and they have a very knowledgeable Guide for Ganga arti, temple tours or shopping tours. I strongly recommend anyone looking for stay in Varanasi to check this place.

Very Good Property well located and very polite staff . Superb experience must stay here and enjoy the ganga riverside from the hotel. Food is very good and staff cooperates for everything you need here. The old haveli has all the exp which you need in kashi and the boat rude on the ganga is too good.

Amazing ambience, hospitality, and chefs. Enjoyed every bit of our stay overlooking the holy Ganges. Would like to especially mention Hasan & Sandeep for their very warm and respectful service through out the week. In-house breakfast buffet was mind blowing. Rooms and bathrooms are always nicely maintained and kept spotless clean. Loved the evening musicals as well. Heart is fulfilled ,spirit soaring in this lovely heritage hotel acquired from the Royal lineage of Nepal.

This hotel has everything that should make it a great place to stay, but suffers from a complete lack of effective management and a ‘we’ll run it to suit ourselves’ attitude, that you would not expect from a hotel at their price point. Boat transfers from Assi Ghat are included with your room and our arrival was everything we had expected. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a Ganges view. The food was fine, especially the breakfast dosas. But everything else was very hit and miss. We were unfortunate to be there whilst there was a BBC crew filming a well-known travel programme. The crew acted as if they had booked sole use of the hotel, and expected to dictate where guests could go, and what they could do, without any form of apology or acknowledgement that they may be impacting on day to day hotel life. This could and should have been managed by a normal hotel management team, but the management made no visible attempt to rein in the BBC team at all. There is a lovely roof top terrace, complete with kitchen, but we were only allowed to eat on it once – when the hotel had booked a large outside tour party in for breakfast on the terrace. We asked about eating dinner there, but were told it wasn’t possible. We were told on arrival there was daily live music at dinner, but this never happened. I suspect that much of this is down to the expectations of the BBC team around their filming. The evening before we left we asked the hotel to book a taxi pick up from Assi Ghat, so that we could photograph from the river as we left. When we came to leave they said the taxi would be going from near the hotel rather than Assi Ghat ‘because it’s more convenient’. This was amended when we said it was unacceptable. We chatted to the taxi driver and he told us that he had originally been waiting at Assi Ghat and had then been told to move to near the hotel and then, when we had complained, he had to move back, which he had happily done. So it appears that the convenience of the hotel outweighed what the guest had booked.
