Stayed here for four nights. The house itself has a lot of atmosphere, especially the upstairs breakfast room, which feels like a Victorian Age parlor. Staff was friendly enough, though I didn’t really see them again after check in. The room itself was less impressive. It was fairly small with three uncomfortable single beds and not much in the way of decor except for a couple of nautical themed pictures. The shower head in the bathroom was attached to the ceiling, which was pretty high up, making it difficult to adjust. I’m 5’ 10”, so I can’t imagine how someone shorter could deal with it. Otherwise, the room was clean, so the housekeeping staff does a good job. The house is located about a ten minute walk uphill from the main part of town. Walking downhill to town isn’t an issue, but walking back uphill could be if you have any mobility or respiratory problems. On the plus side, Uber is available in Ushuaia and the ride to or from town is very cheap. I wanted to like this place more. It’s okay for a short stay, but I think you would be better off staying somewhere in the main part of town.
