The Falcon Hotel

The PERFECT wedding venue! We had our wedding at The Falcon Hotel in August of 2024. I know it's cliche to say that your wedding day was the best of your life, but it truly was and this was so much in part to the amazing staff and seamless organisation of The Falcon Hotel. We could not thank them enough and are so grateful to them for making our day so special, in particular Lily and Ange! They took care of everything from timings and to ensuring everything and everyone was in the right place and the right time to moving our luggage to different rooms, but did it to such a high standard too – all of the extra details and care just made the day so much more enjoyable, especially for me as someone who has quite high expectations! Our guests stayed the night before the wedding and the night of and all said how good their stay was – the rooms were well-priced and incredibly comfortable and all enjoyed the food too! From an organisation point of view, it was so great to have everyone be able to stay at the venue the night before and the night of and the hotel made this really easy too – we were able to assign rooms to guests and have them contact the hotel whenever they could to secure their room. The hotel reserved the rooms for the dates required until we decided which rooms we required, which was such a relief as we know other friends have had a lot of stress with not being able to do this at other wedding venues. We were also given exclusive access for the day as we booked out the hotel. The hotel staff transformed the Garden Terrace at the back of the hotel into three different rooms throughout the day (which was such an incredible feat in itself). We had the ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception with the band all in the same room but the restaurant area was also open to us to retire to while the staff turned around the space in a matter of minutes (it was honestly magic)! The garden at the back of the hotel is also such a fantastic space (weather permitting) with a lovely mini water fall that's perfect for wedding snaps! We've been to the hotel restaurant a couple of times before and have always rated the food 10 out of 10, but I was concerned when scaling this to a 100 person wedding the quality wouldn't necessarily translate. I couldn't have been more wrong. The food was DIVINE – we had two different starter options, roast beef for the main (with veggie and vegan options available too) and then a trio of desserts. The beef was mouthwateringly good and all of the trimmings were excellent. I could have eaten each course several times over (though I may not have fit in my dress by the end). If you're looking for a quaint, cosy and effortless all-inclusive wedding venue for up to 130 people with staff who are attentive, caring and go above and beyond, we could not recommend The Falcon Hotel highly enough!

What a wonderful hotel. We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite (room 8) while celebrating my Wife's 40th birthday. A beautiful room with a four poster bed, lovely bathroom and views of the Market Place. The personal touches made our stay a memorable experience. We were made to feel very welcome and special by all the staff from our arrival at reception to our departure after the excellent breakfast.

Hey guys Just wanted to take a minute to applaud you all on your efforts for making our Xmas party a fantastic evening! From checking in to checking out we permanently had a smile on our faces! There was simple nothing any of you could have done to make our stay any more enjoyable! You guys nailed everything, huge compliments to the chef at dinner and breakfast, best breakfast I've ever had! (3 egg omelette with sausage and tomatoes). Needless to say, we will be back next Xmas , and we have all individually said we will all be back with our own families to use all of your facilities, from just coffee and a slice of them temptress cakes to a weekend away with the children. Once again huge thanks! You're all simply amazing! A wonderful establishment! Ever thought of applying to appear on 4 in a bed?? You would win it hands down! Kindest regards Suzanne

We met friends for a pre Christmas drink & were so disappointed. A cold damp winter night and no fires to welcome us in fact the lounge was on the cool side which was a shame for all the ladies arriving in their party dresses. We sat in the lounge waiting for our friends, ordered our drinks and then found out that everyone in the lounge were being asked to leave as it was booked out to a private function! So we moved to the small bar area which was the only option. No atmosphere, no Christmas spirit we were just moved out of the only comfortable seating area, which seemed unbelievable for a hotel which allegedly is high class.

My husband and I had our wedding reception in this wonderful hotel. From start to finish the staff, food and service were absolutely fantastic. We cannot fault anything and it was more than we ever expected. Lily and Anjali were especially amazing, they made the day exactly how we wanted it, nothing was ever too much! They really gave a personal touch and made us feel so special.

A brilliant weekend with our family celebrating our wedding weekend with everyone. From start to finish the staff couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating to our families which included elderly and disabled family members who were royally looked after. The breakfast was lovely, flexible and plentiful. We'd like to say a special thankyou to Ingrid who was superb throughout the whole process, right from the initial booking, recommending the appropriate rooms for the appropriate guests, help with taxis and logistics - nothing was too much trouble and we'd highly recommend the venue to others looking to stay, eat or or just passing. 5/5 we'll be back!
