Hibiscus Villa

Lovely owners and staff. Very welcoming and made me a special Sri Lankan breakfast enough for dinner too. Always helpful and polite. Rooms are lovely and big open style communal area with sofas and dogs. Great location and absolutely beautiful garden to sit in.

me and my gf stayed at Hibiscus for a week, and are very happy with our experience. The host (Ajith) and the staff (especially Nadith) were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was tasty and always freshly made after we woke up. The garden near the house was very beautiful and quite, with many birds and gorgeous flowers. Our room was very clean and well maintained throughout our stay. The owner had dogs and cats that were extremely playful, kind and goofy, so if you like animals like we do, it's a paradise. Villa is behind the main road, very close (2 minute walk) to the beach and all the good cafes and restaurants, but also far enough to have a clean air and be quite. Overall I highly recommend Hibiscus Villa due to it's good location, exceptionally kind people, the serine garden, quite and comfortable rooms and patios and of course the doggos :))

I spent three amazing days at the Hibiscus Villa early December 2023. This is my 3rd or 4th time however I am visiting the island after four years. It a beautiful hidden gem, just across the road from Unawatuna beach, surrounded by lush green garden almost like a mini rainforest however neatly landscaped. The rich garden is also home to local wildlife including some kingfishers & parrots! The middle veranda (common area for guests) and the two front bedrooms private verandas provide a relaxing views of the gardens. The two rear bedrooms also have veranda’s and I occupied one of those rooms. The villa's common areas & rooms are tastefully decorated and come with ensuite bathrooms. Without a doubt the quality of interior and standards are the same as many boutique hotels we have experienced in the island! The gorgeous and spacious rooms have modern four poster beds & mosquito nets. Prices are very competitive and relatively low compared to similar standards in the area. Book directly and in advance because villa only have 4 rooms. They also have a cottage to rent. All on Airbnb. The villa owned by a local SriLankan & British couple. Therefore they are bringing the best of both worlds together. The warm and friendly hospitality shown by the staff was beyond five star! Delicious breakfast is served in the morning on the main dining table. There are few very friendly cats and dogs that reside in the villa! The cats were very playful and the dogs were so friendly as if they have known you all their lives. Especially little puppy who running to greet me everyday. I enjoyed every moment of my wonderful stay at the villa with beautiful surroundings, amazing ambiance, friendly pets & staff who were wonderful! I would highly recommend Hibiscus Villa if you are planning a trip to Unawatuna.

Ich war im Rahmen von Wayers/AASHA House wegen einer freiwilligen Arbeit in der Hibiskusvilla untergebracht, da ich ein Einzelzimmer gebucht hatte. Sofort war ich von dem wunderschönen Garten fasziniert und auch mein Zimmer war sehr schön. Die Bediensteten hier waren alle durchweg sehr sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Man hat hier eine zentrale Küche und ein Wohnzimmer zur Verfügung und auch eine großzügige Terrasse zum Garten raus . Einzig die Steckdosen im Zimmer sind eine Katastrophe. Es war sehr schwierig, mein Handy zu laden, trotz Adapter. Oftmals knisterte es und sprühte Funken. Nicht sehr vertrauenserweckend. Angenehm war auch der Weg an den Strand, der lediglich 2 Fußminuten war. Dort gibt es eine große Anzahl an Bars und Restaurants mit sehr gutem Essen.

Одно из лучших мест в Унаватуне! Замечательная вилла, на которой мы прожили 2 месяца, и ниразу не пожалели об этом. Проведя неделю в поисках жилья, мы не увидели ни одной похожей виллы, которая была бы так близко к океану (100м) и имела такой прекрасный сад, полный животных и растительности! Это место тишины и спокойствия! На вилле четыре просторные комнаты с высокими потолками, есть большая общая кухня-гостиная. Везде чистота! У каждого номера есть своя небольшая терраса. Персонал очень отзывчивый, помогают в любом вопросе. Отдельное спасибо хочу выразить хозяину виллы Ajith и его помощнику Nadith, ребята вы классные! Мы обязательно вернемся😘

Это был наш худший опыт проживания на Шри-Ланке за 2 месяца. Изначально показавшийся доброжелательным, хозяин оказался сумасшедшим скрягой, который ходил проверял за нами включенный свет, считал сколько в день мы пользовались кондиционером, отчитывал за включенный свет после 22.00, и вообще в полной уверенности, что если вы приехали сюда-то будете проводить дни на море, а не «использовать его электричество». При заселении нам обещали, что кухня будет только в нашем пользовании: в итоге кухней пользовался персонал виллы (но мы отнеслись к этому с пониманием), а вот хозяин нам объявил, что в нашу стоимость номеров пользование общей зоной и кухней не входит вообще и дальше своей комнаты находится не можем. На вилле почти не ловит мобильная связь, wi-fi приемлемо работает только в гостиной, если вам нужно работать весь день-то вам не избежать конфликта с хозяином, как это и получилось в нашем случае. Хозяин спустя 4 дня нашего пребывания, очень агрессивно кричал, ругался, объяснял нам как мы, в его понимании, должны проводить время, во сколько ложиться, сколько времени проводить на море и потребовал съехать две семьи с детьми в никуда, не смотря на предоплаченное проживание и договоренности. Подумайте сто раз нужен ли вам такой надзор во время вашего здесь проживания
