Basic budget hotel with a great pool and lovely staff! Rooms were spacious and clean with a balcony, desk & chair, TV with local channels, air con and a ceiling fan. Although housekeeping is available, and I believe there is supposed to be a card to put on the door, we never had one and despite mentioning this on several occasions we were never given one and had to constantly ask for housekeeping, fresh towels etc when needed. The pool is fantastic, I was in this every day of our stay and towels for the pool are available and although there is a space for them they're rarely at the side of the pool, so you need to go ask for them too! There is a toilet at the side of the pool and a shower to rinse off before/after a swim. Breakfast if not included, was available until 11:00 am (if I remember correctly) and was ~1,500 LKR. Service can be a little slow, one morning I waited 40 minutes and no-one took my breakfast order, they'd just walk past me, so I ended up going into the reception and asking for that too, service is a hit and a miss, sometimes people are buzzing round you and other times they don't come near! My husband became unwell during our stay and the staff couldn't have been more helpful, absolutely commend them for that - thank you so much. There is a supermarket across the road, restaurants etc are ~1.5km away, tuk tuks are always outside, don't let them overcharge you - haggle!!! ~500-600 to Ceylon Spa and ~800 if you're going further down to the bigger hotels/restaurants. We stayed here for 8 nights as a stop gap due to a change in our plans, and we enjoyed our stay.

I visited Hotel J Unawatuna with a few of my friends, and we got two triple rooms with breakfast. It is a very calm and quiet place for a quick get-away. It is also located in an area where we could walk towards many restaurants and the Unawatuna Beach. The food we ordered from the hotel was really good and did pretty well with the quantity. The rooms that we got were spacious and clean (but the bathrooms could be a bit more cleaner). Even though they don't provide tea/coffee making facilities or water bottles in the room, as they do belong to Jetwing budget hotels, overall, the rooms, food, and service from the staff were second to none. I will certainly be staying here again!

We stayed at this hotel for 5 weeks and loved it! The rooms are clean, lovely comfy beds, good food and service. Great swimming pool! The staff are amazing and cannot do enough for you! We miss everyone now we are back home! Highly recommended!

Very nice hotel that is well located on the Galle side of Unawatuna. Friendly staff, nice pool, good food, easy parking out front as well. Asked for a poolside room and was moved with no problems. Nice breakfast but we’re missing the Sri Lankan option most of my stay.

This hôtel is just magnifique, there is so many things that are propose to thé occupent of this rooms, thé employer is very careful and kind. I did really appréciat this conviviality and Will 100% recommande your hôtel for the kindness you gave to us !

Really good time at the hôtel !! The people of the hotel are really kind ! They pay attention to all are needs, we were 25 students so it was a lot of work ! The rooms are perfect ! Really good experience at hotel j I will recommend your hotel if ever I come back to Sri-Lanka or for a friend

The location of the hotel is very convenient. There is a large grocery store opposite. It is not far from the streets with cafes and gifts shops, not far from the beach. The rooms have got high quality clean air conditioners. You can order lunches and dinners at the hotel. Friendly staff who try to help in all problems.
