Hotel & Spa El Mirador de Ulzama

I absolutely adore this place! I was looking for some fun and peace in one and The Mirador de Ulzama exceeded my expectations. Perfect service, great amenities and lovely environment. Thank you to everyone that contributed to this amazing experience. Can’t wait to come back!

Just spent 5 nights at Hotel Mirador de Ulzama and had a spectacular time with the family. The hotel, which had been closed for almost 10 years, just reopened in November of 2023, which is why you will find very few reviews on Trip Advisor. This small, but quaint hotel, sits on a mid mountain hilltop overlooking the valley of the Ulzama River. We used it as a hub since it is strategically located close to Pamplona, San Sebastián, Biarritz, St Jean de La Luz, Espelette, St Jean Pied de Port, St Etienne and numerous other Spanish-French Basque towns in the region. The hotel itself has between 25 to 30 spacious rooms. All of the rooms have been totally updated in a mid modern century decor, and have gorgeous mountain and valley views. The bed, sheets and towels are all of high quality. The new owners have really done a great job with the remodeling. It offers a restaurant that serves a varied buffet breakfast every morning, which is included in the room price, and dinner at night where you can choose to either eat inside or outside on their large terrace overlooking the mountains. The food at the hotel restaurant, from appetizer to dessert, was very good. Our waitress, Mari Paz, was always very attentive to all of our needs and extremely flexible with our eating schedules. I do recommend making dinner reservations in advance as the restaurant can fill up in a heart beat. Parking is free and to top it off, they have an 18 hole golf course that is only 5 minutes away. The course is located at the bottom of the hill, inside an old forest. I was able to visit the course and it is absolutely stunning! As to the hotel staff, the front desk attendants, Tania and Maria, really stood out in making sure that our stay was amazing. The housekeeping crew was also exceptional. The hotel was spotless, from our room and bath to the common areas. In addition, it’s surroundings were also very well maintained. We really can’t wait to return and maybe stay for a week, as the area has so much to offer, especially if golf is part of the stay.

Pequeño y Gran Hotel en mitad del Valle de Ulzama. Recién construido, habitaciones modernas, buenas vistas, y gente encantadora. Esperábamos que sería el típico hotel de campo de Golf a las afueras pero es todo un descubrimiento. Estás en mitad del campo, silencio total y, a la vez, ubicado a menos de una hora de todo lo que queríamos visitar de Navarra... Valle de Baztán, monasterio de Leyre y Javier, prepirineo, Roncesvalles, Codés, Iratxe, Irantzun, ... Muy recomendable

Destacaría diferentes aspectos del alojamiento. En primer lugar, el personal, que resulta excepcionalmente agradable. Por otro lado, las habitaciones son cómodas y amplias, con camas y almohadas que permiten un buen descanso. El desayuno es muy recomendable, con zumos recién exprimidos, fruta fresca y embutido/fiambre de calidad. Como sugerencia, propondría que hubiera disponibilidad de alguna almohada de otras características (si bien las que estaban disponibles resultaban adecuadas tanto para mi pareja como para mi).

Una experiencia muy grata. Todo ha sido fenomenal. La ubicación del hotel nos parece inmejorable, solo se puede descansar (y a eso íbamos). Las vistas desde la habitación son gloriosas, solo se oyen los cencerros de las vacas que están a media distancia. A 20 min de Pamplona, y a 500 más del Club de Golf de Ulzama. El desayuno muy completo y variado con zumo de naranja natural! Todo genial, para volver una y mil veces!

DESCANSO. Estuvimos 3 días y fueron fantásticos. El trato del personal es muy agradable y pudimos aprovechar muy bien el tiempo visitando el entorno tan bonito y relajado. Las habitaciones son muy cómodas y espaciosas (y decoradas con muy buen gusto). El restaurante muy bien, comimos francamente bien. Nos dimos un masaje que fue todo un acierto. Además jugamos el golf en el campo de golf de ulzama que está a escasos 500 mts del hotel y es un campazo! Espectacular. En definitiva, un 10 en todo!
