Sugar Beach Resort

Overall the resort is in an excellent location and ideal for a quite getaway. The manager Chantelle was excellent and went out of her way to please us. Whilst the room was comfortable and clean with great sea views the wooden structure does have its limitations ito noise reduction etc

Don't be fooled by the pics and ad. This place is overrated and overpriced. We booked to stay here for 2 nights. One night we returned to our room late and there were no towels in our room. They were informed, but we weren't helped. In all my stays all over, I'd never experienced such lack of interest in our comfort, and for essentials, like towels, mind you. Towels were therethe next day when we were checking out. The log cabins are very, very dated and need a lot of revamping to bring it up to standards. Can you believe the kettle is on the floor. It can't be placed anywhere else due to the very short cord. No hairdryers in the room. No plugpoint near the dressing table to plug your own hairdryer in. We used the mirror from our phone App to as the plugpoint was nearthe bed. Thankfully we took our our adaptors for our devices. No 2 pin plugpoints anywhere. The drawers of cupboards are falling when opened. We were really disappointed with our experience in their rooms. The shower works strangely. However, the hosts are very hospitable and serve delicious meals. The location is also beautiful, however the seaview from most rooms on the lower level are obscured by the huge forest in front. And parking isn't convenient if your cabin isn't near reception. All in all, our expectations weren't met with our encounter at Sugar Beach.

Everyone made our stay pleasant. We felt like we are all one big family. From security guard to the kitchen staff. The owner was more involved, and the food was delicious. Don't don't compromise when it comes to quality.
