Absolutely stunning pool and garden. Loved this place. Lovely staff and udaipur is an excellent location. Breakfast was generous and served in garden. Location also very good as you can walk to lakeside restaurants. Manager is really nice and extremely helpful. All 👍

This was our first stop on our Rajasthan tour. Spaceous cool room and huge bed with spare blankets for the cold evenings. Large wet room style bathroom, with constant hot water. In room coffee and drinking water provided. Gracious and attentive staff. We ate here both for breakfast and evening food - lovely home cooking, with a nod to European tastes. The fish filled well was a highlight. Great location from which to experience the delights of Udaipur and also a tranquil respite. Perfects. Please accept our thanks to all the hard working staff.

We were excited to return to HMP after 13 years but were very disappointed. The hotel has lost its shine and is a shadow of its old self. Needs an upgrade. We arranged a pick up and picked in a cab with no seat belts for passengers at the back. As soon as we arrived we were asked to pay up for our stay. Our first experience of this practice plus the receipt said we were satisfied with our stay. Bad practice. Not everything is the hotel’s fault. Once located on a street where it was easy to walk out and stroll ***** shops etc, it is now noisy with heavy traffic and polluted. Staff need training. They were helpful but many did not speak English and frequently hung around for tips. A box for tips which can be shared by all staff might be useful Good reasonably priced laundry service. Both taxi and laundry service is contracted out and has to be paid in cash. Not alway convenient. Rooms are clean. But safe and fridge was not working. The bathroom flooded every time we showered. Not pleasant. But perhaps the biggest disappointment was the breakfast. Cheap and poorly prepared. If you want masala chai, you had to pay for it. Not so in all other 3 star hotels we stayed in. It was also rather chaotic when busy. They had a swimming pool but it was cold. Outdoor sitting area was nice with two little turtles coming to say hello. Grass needs attention. Bills for food etc was written out on bits of paper. Rather odd practice in such a hotel. Shame but unlikely to return.

Amazing architecture and history. The rooms were beautiful and so clean. We had private balconies and views of the White Palace. The family and staff are so helpful, the service was brilliant. The breakfast was great, but a must try is the Peanut Masala. The hotel staff sourced a beautiful cake to celebrate my birthday. My overall thoughts were that it was a beautiful sanctuary in a beautiful but busy city. I would totally recommend.

Lovely property with lots of character. The grounds were beautiful and the rooms unique. We loved the old world feel. The staff was caring and helpful, always attending to our every need. Dinner was delicious in the courtyard as we sat in candlelight. Only a few steps away from shopping and the city palace. This place was a hidden gem. I would stay here again and would most definitely recommend.

We stayed for 2 nights in this hotel . We loved it, we had a fabulous time. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are big and the beds are very good. Each staff member is courteous, helpful and always smiling .The manager was very helpful in arranging everything you wanted for. Overall the perfect place to stay in Udaipur.
