Shepherd's Loch Glamping

Absolutely magical place. Once you park the car and enter you are in a different world. A magical and special world. The accomidation is beyond any expectations and the communal areas, the lochs, the honesty shop, veg patches ext. just made our stay beyond all expectations. My most special memory was cooking in an outdoor kitchen and having a row in the boat before dinner. My only regret is staying one night. Never again! Would be a minimum of a week. If you want chain hotels or five star waiter service don't come here. However if you want to truly be off grid and relax with nature in an amazing spot come here immediately. The owners we met a few times made us feel so welcome and are so talented what they have created. A massive thank you to them.

My friend and I recently spent 5 days staying at Shepard’s Loch in the Boathouse accomodation. It was a truly great getaway. The accomodation was clean and cosy, and we had beautiful views out onto one of the loch. There is a lot to do and see at the campgrounds, and especially plenty for kids. The various lochs were great for a swim, and there were many other interesting things about, including a beautiful veggie patch where you can pick your own vegetables, canoes and paddle boards, and a sauna. We especially loved the fishing hut - a multi-room communal area, that is the perfect place to chill out. Jamie and Mimi and all the other staff were very generous, helpful, and kind. We couldn’t have asked for better. Jamie showed us around the farm, took us in to see the pigs, and even let us help with some sheep hoarding. The surrounding area, particularly the little villages of Gardenstown, Crovie, Portsoy, and Pennan, are gorgeous. There is also an excellent walk that you can do just 10km away, over the cliffs along the Banff coast. Can’t recommend it enough!

Beehive yurt is super cosy, with very comfortable bedding and separate dining and bathroom facilities combined to the yurt. Loads of fun activities at hand for the younger glampors in peaceful farming surroundings. If you want to get away from it all, you wont be dissapointed
