Alaiye Resort & Spa Hotel - Ultra All Inclusive

There is a lot to do in this hotel especially for kids. They have day time and entertainment. The staff and guests at this hotel really let it down, from the moment we arrived we were made to feel uncomfortable, it really seemed like people had no manners. During our stay we barely had one friendly conversation, people either avoided eye contact or just stared at you… not even a smile. The food is repetitive and cold, it’s rice and meat in sauce or chips every meal time, although we did find food to fill us for each meal. The alcoholic drinks are made very strong and don’t taste nice at all. A lot of people had issues with their rooms including ourselves. Ours was resolved the next day but I don’t think his was the case for other guests. Rooms are basic, the maids cleaned but not every day, they need to invest in their rooms to meet 5 star standards of a hotel. There is a walkway to the beach at the back of the hotel, our son loved it. It’s a shame they only have a small space and fill too much of it up with sun-beds. There isn’t enough room for the children to play. The other side of the hotel is really good there are a few parks. Sports facilities and more pools and water slides. This closed on the 21st of October which we wasn’t told before our holiday. People put towels on the sun-beds by the pool and beach before breakfast by the time you get there you’re dragging your kids around with no where to go while beds have towels but we’re unoccupied. I don’t think this should be allowed. We paid the same as everybody else and people reserve beds all day when they aren’t even there. Overall we had a nice Holiday, there is plenty of things to do in the hotel and there is a lot of nice relaxing areas all around the hotel. The location is a bit secluded there’s nothing in walking distance other than shops selling bags and clothes and you get harassed every time you walk down the street.

Funnily enough I visited 8 months ago, I wrote a review and rated this hotel 5 stars. I visited again in October and it was horrendous. Honestly, I was so upset to return and be treated like a delinquent when I made a request to change room as we weren’t given a pool room like we had requested. We never got the pool view room, even though the hotel was near enough empty. There was no benefit of being a returning customer at all. We had multiple disagreements throughout the trip with reception and customer service which we didn’t want but seemed inevitable and never had when we visited before. However, the bar and animation staff recognised my family straight away and were so kind and fussy, which was honestly so lovely - they felt like family and would sit with us throughout the day and evening, I still keep in contact with them and the majority aren’t even returning to work this year either. All in all, the reception and customer service desk are SO unhelpful, rude and arrogant. It was actually the worst holiday I’ve ever been on thanks to them being consistently difficult. I completely take back my 5 star review in June. Do better Alaiye!

We stayed at the Alaiye resort and spa and overall had a mixed experience. We have stayed 15+ all inclusives, including 5 in Antalya so am comparing this to those. Location: 4/5. Not in the Antalya or Alanya, but close to the private beach (very crowded, not enough loungers), and plenty of shops and some bars and restaurants a very short walk away. The sandy beach was clean, with warm water although was very busy. Hotel: 3/5. Overall clean and well presented. It's quite crowded so not much green space but has what you need. Most guests were russian/polish/German but a few English. WiFi was very frustrating. Very rare you were connected for more than 10 minutes, had to constantly disconnect and reconnect. Very slow when you were connected. Every day we had to re login with passport number and room number, sometimes that failed and had to speak to reception. Housekeeping was fine, and came most days. Food. 2/5. Very repetitive. We had basically stew and rice every dinner. It was hot at least. The a la carte (Chinese) was beautifully presented but very poor, worst Chinese ever. Avoid! The snack bar made good pizza. There was no flair for dinner, normally I've found a pasta station, maybe a theme night but no, just the same food every day. If you got to dinner after the first sitting you had to get your own cutlery by getting from other half used tables or draws. One night I was carrying my baby and wanted a fork, was told just to go to a cupboard and look for one (there wasn't one). No table service for drinks. Drinks were ok, except they kept running out of Malibu and Baileys. Entertainment 2/5. The animation team was very small, and just did darts, volleyball and aerobics. There was no engagement, no team dance, no getting to know the guests. Derin who organisied the darts was friendly and the best from the team. Every day there was water aerobics, but one day there were only 3 participants (all in the pool ready to go). Animation team turned up, said it was 5 minimum, and walked away! It should run even if it was 1. Very lazy. Only good thing was the evening entertainment, which was excellent, and probably the best we've seen. 4pm pool game was the only 'fun' team game, but that was only every few days and frequently cancelled. Staff 2/5. Most staff seemed very miserable, no smiles from any of the bar staff, often doing the minimum possible. It was almost like none of them had been paid recently and were unhappy, and a guest asking for a drink or something was an inconvenience. Ozcan (garden bar) especially was the grumpiest bar man ever. There was no attempt to get feedback on our trip, and I don't think I heard a staff member say 'hello', 'welcome', 'please' or 'thank you' (apart from the 4 listed below). Only exceptions were: Derin - animation, friendly and actually said hello Mehmet - restaurant. Very friendly  Osman - (young guy). Had a smile Hakim - (pizza guy), very friendly with a smile. We have just got back weather was amazing for this time of year and hotel was clean and lots to do !! Lovely staff and entertainment were brilliant especially Yunus!! Made my little girls holiday and ours. Disco was great and loved karaoke night, loads of different cocktails to chose from and food. We are going back in July and can’t wait.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!! STAFF VERY RUDE!! My family of 6 came to this hotel from the 5th of October til the 12th. One of our members of family had surprised us by inviting her partner to join our first family holiday. He could not get a room at the hotel due to no space so went to the hotel next door. He had come to this hotel hoping to pay to come in. Which he did! At 50 euros a day!! We wanted him to be able to be included, so he paid. BIGGEST MISTAKE!! That evening he was surrounded by all the security staff as if he was a CRIMINAL and escorted out. No warning at all that his day pass had run out, no polite reminder AT ALL! He did nothing wrong, just enjoying his time with his family. He was escorted to the reception where they RUDELY cut off his band and told him he was not allowed back in. We went to see ISMAIL who is apparently a manager. (I don’t know how, he is not friendly AT ALL) we had explained the situation that my aunts partner had paid to get in and did not realise he had to leave by a certain time because we was NOT informed and we apologised in the hope that he could come back in. Instead we were told strictly no day guests whatsoever due to the “hassle” that was caused. Whilst having this conversation ismail was throwing his hands about and shouting and simply just not letting us get a word in whatsoever, speaking over us. After this day of events we had accepted that our extra person was not allowed in the hotel. Now, we had booked excursions with our plus one. On those days he would wait outside our hotel with us as our lovely rep had booked us all together. When he would wait outside we would have the security team watch our every step. They would not let us out of their sight. Even after it was just the 6 of us as my aunts partner had left the holiday early we were constantly watched and given dirty looks. Now in our family of 6 there is one male, it was our grandparents and the rest of us are girls. As one of the youngest of the girls, I’m 22, I have never felt more uncomfortable IN MY LIFE. I always had the feeling of someone’s eyes constantly on me as if I had done the worst thing in the world. The hotel is actually a very nice building, the rooms are average and the cocktails aren’t very nice you can tell that they use cheap spirits. The food wasn’t great. You can tell it’s recycled from the night before. I wouldn’t say this hotel was 5 star at all. We have stayed in 3 star hotels in turkey before and it has been nicer and the staff were friendly and SMILING. I wouldn’t spend your money on this hotel when you can stay somewhere cheaper with nicer staff. There was one staff member who was so friendly and funny, he works on the entertainment team, you could have a joke with him he would come and sit and have a chat with you, made sure you were okay. This holiday was one of the worst holidays I’ve ever been on.

Me and my partner came here again in October (we came here in may and loved it so much so we rebooked) this time has been just as lovely as the first. The food is very nice if you are a fussy eater they will have something you can eat, chips, pizza, chicken nuggets etc. Different themes on certain nights. The employees are so so lovely, very smiley and jolly they know good English too. Entertainment team are wonderful at what they do, Derin specifically has been our favourite he is friendly, funny and good at what he does, they have loads of shows on and even a party which we love. Lots of stalls and markets around so plenty of shopping.
