Craggy Range Luxury Vineyard Retreat

The entire stay was perfect! It was a surprise event and the staff were fantastic at keeping it that way. The accommodation was lovely and the meals were perfecto! We did a wine experience and MacKenzie was a fabulous host - we were enlightened by her talk.

We stayed at the Chardonnay cottage, tucked away in the vines behind the cellar door and restaurant. A picturesque location with views of the 'Craggy Range' vista and perfect base for a Hawkes Bay stay. A short drive to Havelock North, Hastings and Te Awanga. We loved the elegance and luxury of the cottage. It was modern, cosy, spacious and incredibly comfortable, perfect for two. Huge bathroom and great wardrobe to tuck away your luggage. We loved the little fireplace that added ambience in the evening, and (French press) coffee, fresh sourdough loaf and marmalade, all locally made, were a treat. Highly recommend booking the Giants tasting experience for fine wine lovers, to experience Craggy Range prestige wines and library wines, to enhance the connection to place and enrich the whole experience. The restaurant is an absolute must for a visit to Hawkes Bay. The food, wine and service was outstanding and memorable. The 1-2 minute walk back to our cottage after dinner was the most amazing starry night sky. If you're staying over a weekend, don't miss the Hastings Farmers market, on a sunny day. We would absolutely stay again, thank you for having us, Craggy Range, until the next time.

We loved everything about our stay in this most stunning vineyard. Our river cottage was gorgeous with everything you need to feel at home and enjoy the most amazing views. Everything is of the highest quality, including the people that make everything so special. Being able to wander over to one of the best restaurants you’ll ever visit and enjoy the most delicious food and service makes this one of the best places to stay. We feel so lucky to be able to come back and do it all over again – thank you Craggy for being exceptional on every level!

We loved it here, it was so clean everything was pristine. The staff were lovely and very helpful with any questions we had. The view and the grounds were so wonderful, the food was amazing a very delicious experience. We would definitely recommend staying here for multiple days!

All the details were thought through nicely. The breakfast provisions supporting local stores, the bed, the wood fire, the under floor heating in the bathroom. The villa is well equipped but we didn’t cook for ourselves. The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive. The restaurant was great and the wine tasting by Sarah was one of the best we have ever been to. We really enjoyed this treat. Thank you

Exceptionally beautiful place with very friendly staff. Our cottage was very spacious and provided all the amenities that we needed (kitchen, washing machine, dryer). The surroundings look like a park, and the nights are extremely silent. We had a truly excellent time, and the restaurant is definitely worth a visit, too.
