Bajawa-Roo Hotel

Friendly and homely. Basic rooms but as expected for the price. Good breakfast. No aircon but Bajawa is cool at night. Room was clean, a little musty, very friendly staff who helped with us our luggage ( up stairs), with organising a driver to see the sights, with laundry, and with recommendations for cafes & restaurants, and onward travel.

We spent 1 night here. Comfortable and clean room with a huge shower area. I think the builders must be very tall as the bed was very high and I had to tip toe to reach the shower mixer. Great view of the mountains from our room on the 1st floor. Since it was a quiet period, the owner offered to switch us to the top most floor room offering a fantastic view. Because of our luggage and being there for only 1 night, we declined. Sri, the owner speaks good English and very chatty. Bajawa is quite cold. Sri offered us hot noodles soup for breakfast. That was like a hug in a bowl together with strong French press coffee. Would have loved to spend another night here if we had more time. Bottled water provided. Stable wifi. Highly recommend

Très bonne literie ; oreiller parfait Terrasse devant notre chambre, canapé, table basse, étendoir à linge Petit déjeuner sur le toit de 7 h à 9 h : pancakes, omelette, confiture fraises et ananas, fruits, café, thé Très bons conseils pour les visites Possibilités de louer un scooter pour 100 000 rp Au centre ville, (la rue où il y a quelques bars et restaurants) prévoir 15 mnts à pieds Petit hôtel bien propre contre la montagne : 7 chambres Douches chaudes ; salle de bain propre ( chambre 202) Wifi fonctionnait très bien En ville vous pourrez manger chez Lucas café, Milonari restaurant, l’edelweiss….. Bajawa Riung : 3 h John est un très bon chauffeur

Abbiamo dormito una notte in questo hotel che si trova a Bajawa. L'hotel dispone di wifi e le camere, tutto sommato, erano pulite se non ci si sofferma alle chiazze presenti nelle lenzuola. È presente anche di un ristorante ma aimé poco fornito. Quando abbiamo chiesto se era possibile pranzare ci è stato detto che potevano fare solo due piatti: naso goreng e mi goreng. Onestamente non andrei più ma per un appoggio, se non si pretende troppo, può andare.

Wij, twee stellen kwamen met onze minibus met chauffeur en gids tegen de avond aan in hotel Roo waar we 2 kamers hadden geboekt via ***********. We werden hartelijk ontvangen en kregen alvorens in te checken koffie met gebakken banaan aangeboden. Aangezien dit hotel zo'n 1,5 km. is verwijderd van enkele restaurants vroegen wij of zij ook een diner konden verzorgen. Dit bleek niet het geval. Het leek ons verstandig om dan maar snel in te checken zodat we daarna met onze bus een van de restaurants konden bezoeken. Tot onze grote verbazing kregen wij van onze gids te horen dat het hotel was overboekt. Ons werd niet naar onze boekingsbevestiging gevraagd en er werden vele malen excuses uitgesproken. Ons werd een onbekend hotel voorgesteld maar aangezien dit niet ons eerste bezoek aan Bajawa was kozen we voor een bekend hotel. En zo komt het dat we geen beoordeling over het hotel zelf kunnen geven maar de hele gang van zaken kwam wel vreemd over.

Bajawa est dépourvu en hôtels de bonne catégorie. Celui-ci est un hôtel familial, la famille habitant dans une maison attenante. 7 chambres sont réparties dans le bâtiment. La nôtre, au second étage, était vaste, simple, très propre, dépouillée, dotée d'une literie convenable. La salle de bain était correcte, avec de l'eau chaude et un bon jet. A le wifi de très bonne qualité dans notre chambre (rare sur Flores). La famille est très accueillante et arrangeante. Les repas, bien cuisinés, se prennent sur la terrasse surplombant la ville - qui n'a par ailleurs pas de charme particulier. Le lieu est calme, et on est réveillé par le chant de la mosquée auquel succèdent les cloches de l'église, le tout doublé par le chant des coqs qui se relaient. Tout ceci est fort agréable. Les cinq étoiles sont méritées, en tenant compte du type de logement, du rapport qualité-prix, de l'accueil etc., même si on n'est pas dans des normes européennes habituelles, ce qui ici n'aurait guère de sens. Une très bonne adresse
