Hotel Colombia

A safe, 3-star hotel in a great location that's excellent for solo travelers. It's located near the cruise ship terminal (18 minute walk) and train station. There are restaurants, shopping, a 24-hour laundromat, post office, and grocery store nearby. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I was able to check in early; they also offer a luggage storage room. I received excellent travel advice...I was able to plan and execute a day trip on a water taxi to Muggia, Italy on my arrival day then went to Slovenia the following day. They also booked an early morning (0430 am) airport taxi for me as well. The breakfast was fresh and delicious and was constantly replenished but not a big area, again great for solos. My room on the 5th floor was a little outdated but clean and comfortable. The front desk is not open 24-hours. I would definitely stay here again.

Aria condizionata inesistente. Bagaglio sparito. Esperienza nel complesso terribile nonostante la disponibilità del personale per tutta la durata del breve soggiorno. È meglio non lasciare le valigie alla reception se si vuole fare un giro a Trieste. Non sono custodite e il rischio è che qualcuno si porti via i bagagli come è successo a me.

Siamo stati in questo hotel in occasione della Barcolana e devo dire che la posizione è ottima per raggiungere, senza utilizzare l'auto, qualsiasi luogo. La camera è pulita e silenziosa ed il personale molto disponibile. Un ringraziamento particolare al Sig. Dario che con i suoi preziosi consigli e le mille attenzioni ha reso il nostro soggiorno a Trieste ... PERFETTO. Lo consiglio e torneremo di sicuro.
