Hotel San Giusto

Do you like sugary things for breakfast? Then this is the place to go. Do you prefere fraiche vegetables and fruits? Better stay away. There is not so much as a slice of cucumber to be found at the breakfast buffet.

They cancelled one of our rooms for two nights and then charged us a lot more for that extra room to stay at Best Western! Called Best Western customer service two weeks before our trip to add an extra day to our two-day stay, and the customer service agent says we have too many rooms for five people. Unaware, the agent cancelled one of our room reservations.The problem primarily comes from the fact that the agent and the hotel did not communicate correctly. Anyway, we arrive and we do not have enough rooms. We are out of luck. It is not entirely Best Western San Giusto responsibility, but then to charge us $300 more when a mistake was made by Best Western is just unacceptable. Contacted Heather -- a manager in the customer service depar**ent -- at Best Western to resolve this and she says it is our fault. We did not cancel our room. I will never stay at another Best Western again. You have lost my business -- and would advise all others to stay away. When Best Western makes a mistake -- and it is a big one, they fail to take responsibility and you have to deal / pay for it. Terrible experience!

First of all, very nice and accommodating staff. However, the breakfast buffet is not at all what is pictured on the website. Not even any where close to the website photos. Had to have been set up that way only for the photo. The breakfast time is not 7-10am but a shorter window of 7:30-9:30am. The coffee and tea maker needs to be requested at checkin but is available. What is not available is the insinuated room service, therefore, suggesting a restaurant. There is no restaurant but room service may be scheduled for the very limited pre fixed dinner service from 7:30-9:30pm. There also is not a suggested business center for laser printing and a computer to use as suggested in the photos. The staff will print something for you when requested but there is no color printing as I needed for a cruise ship luggage tag. The rooms are mostly as pictured in the photo’s, very sp****. The rooms could also use a paint job. The hotel is very clean.

Perfect stay. Close to restaurants, bus stops. walkable to explore the area of Trieste. Walkable to the museum, fortress and beautiful church of San Giusto.

There was an ant problem in both of our rooms on the 1st floor.

We stayed at an apar**ent associated with Best Western Hotel San Giusto, not in the hotel itself. Since we booked a VRBO property, which cancelled while we were in flight to Italy, we were grateful that we could get something on such short notice. The price was about 250 euros a night for three people, which I consider a reasonable price for something at the last minute during August. The apar**ent was well-furnished and down the street from the hotel so that we could easily walk to the hotel if we needed anything. We were able to cook, which helps save on expenses, although we certainly indulged in the local cafes. The location is near at least two bus lines although we were able to walk to the grocery store, the James Joyce museum, and San Giusto Castle, of course. The apar**ent has one bedroom with a double bed and a common room with a kitchen and living room. The kitchen is equipped with a stove, dishwasher, cooking and eating utensils, and a table for eating. The living room has a sofa that unfolds into a bed to accommodate three people. If you are a coffee drinker, there is a moka pot, which we used. If you are a tea drinker, you have to improvise a bit as there is no kettle.

Non tutte le informazioni date sono corrette, ad esempio non e' a un 1,5 dal centro ma bensi' 3 o 4 km servito molto bene dai mezzi pubblici il 10 si ferma vicino all'albergo, il parcheggio non e' gratuito si paga 16.00 euro e lo scopri dopo che hai effettuato la prenotazione, non e' attiva l'aria condizionata perche' il comune non ha ancora dato il via libera all'attivazione (cosi' riferisce uno dei due receptionist) Luca persona squisita....
