Torridon Youth Hostel is located in an beautiful location among the Torridon Hills and in the shadow of the 3,000 foot Liathach peak. Guests can enjoy views of hills and Upper Loch Torridon and there is also free on-site parking available.
The hostel offers a spacious self-catering kitchen and 2 large lounges featuring striking panoramic views of the stunning surroundings. Please note these facilities are currently closed due to Covid restrictions.

Well run hostel with all of the amenities that you might need in particular a spacious drying-room, kitchen with all the facilities and large dining area. Lounge with a view of the hills There wasn't too much open in the village on my visit with the village shop shutting by 5 so plan accordingly; the hostel also had a small shop. I had a private room with a bit of a walk to the showers but all as I would expect in a hostel.

We ended up staying here unexpectedly and at short notice and are so glad we did. The staff were warm and welcoming and took great care of us during our stay. Having stayed in many youth hostels this one was brilliant: amazing views, a really friendly atmosphere, comfy beds and quite possibly the best equipped kitchen we’ve ever seen in a youth hostel.

Stopped here for the night on a walking / camping holiday around Wester Ross. The Hostel was spotless and modern. Excellent kitchen facilities, comfortable beds in the dorms and a nice spacious lounge and dining area. Surrounded by absolutely stunning scenery! The staff couldn't have been friendlier and more helpful. As I was travelling light I opted for a microwave evening meal, which was perfectly fine and much cheaper than a meal at the local hotel. Great packed lunch was fuel for some hill walking the next day (thank you Sarah!) where I was fortunate to see Torridon in the glorious sunshine. A great experience overall and I'll definitely be back.

5* hostel, perfect for an overnight on the NC500 or a few days' exploring the Torridian moonscape or area between Shielding and Applecross. Dinner and breakfast available to order, linen provided, with towels in private rooms. Staff very helpful and enthusiastic. Local taxi can get you to offsite dining options in Shielding or Torridon. Secure bike storage.

I stayed here with my husband and we really enjoyed our stay. Torridon Hostel is in a wonderful location, ideal for walking or even just admiring the secenery. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the hostel has a well-equipped kitchen, which is handy, because there is not much nearby to eat out. We had the breakfast, which was also really good, nice freshly baked croissants. This is defintely one of the nicest hostels I have ever stayed in.

Stopped here after a day of driving the NC500. I was simply gobsmacked at how nice the place is. Great parking and the team had kindly kept a space clear for me near the front door as I had my 18-year-old dog, Meg, sleeping in the car. The reception and staff were most welcoming. I ended up in a dorm room designed for 8, but only had three people in that evening. The lounge area was quiet, lots of seating and with a grand viewing window looking at the mountain views. A big clean and well-appointed kitchen area sits alongside the big dining area of tables and chairs. The shower and bathrooms are also clean and functional. It really is better than many hotels I've stayed at. I will definitely come back.

2 night stay at the Youth Hostel, my second time visiting. Stayed in one of the hostels private rooms, which was very good. Facilities all excellent, shared kitchen and lounge all good. We found the staff to be very friendly, helpful and efficient.

Superb hostel. Girl on reception friendly and professional. Excellent drying facilities. Rooms clean dry and warm. Good kitchen and nice lounge. Beautiful spot. Would use again. Good age range of people using it too. Better than alot of B&B's !!

Stayed here for a night whilst cycling the North Coast 500. Great hostel, with a really superb kitchen which was brilliantly equipped. Lovely dining room and lounge. Great family room. All very clean and attractive. Very helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommended.
