Aluasun Lago Rojo - Adults Recommended

We have just returned from 10 days at this hotel. Great location, check in at 3. Rooms are large, Pretty basic but has kettle, mini fridge and hairdryer. We had a balcony overlooking the street which did get noisy at night on the 2nd floor. Roof top pool and terrace is fantastic. It opens at 9am so be prepared to be queuing before then to get beds. The pool Is lovely as are the bar snacks, with happy hour at 5.30. Food was good, plenty of choice, including an omelette station. Fresh orange at breakfast costs €2 and at night you have a pay for a drink, as there isn’t even water available from the dispenser which is a bit disappointing. My only criticism would be as the evening meals get busy, on a few occasions I had to source my own cutlery and sit at a dirty table as the staff couldn’t seem to keep up with the cleaning, but that is the only reason I’d give it a negative.

Just returned from this hotel. Was a bit apprehensive reading some reviews. But we found it really nice, very clean and lovely staff. First night there I was a bit disappointed with the evening meal, had steak tough! but I must say the following days the food was good. Breakfast was the usual stuff if you wanted a cooked one. We had the omelette freshly made in front of you really lovely. Lots of cooked meats and bread as well yogurts etc. Dinner was either meat or fish with lots of choices for veg or different dishes, lots of various salad dishes. We had a Mexican evening which was nice but my favourite was the Japanese evening lots of sushi and noodles, lots of choice. Rooms were lovely, cleaned to a high standard beds comfy.We had a junior suite. The bar on the roof was great and we always got a few sun beds. We know the area well, it’s right in the centre of Carihuela, surrounded by shops, bars and restaurants. The only negative comment was the bins being emptied. One morning around 3am and other days around 6am. We will go again but request a high floor this time.

Great location, stayed for 4 nights very good value for money , booked half board food good quality at breakfast & dinner , had no issues getting a seat , disappointed that the downstairs bar closed on our 2nd night, but roof top bar set up with heaters made up for it , good entertainment & lovely helpful staff

Overall great hotel and entertainment staff and facilities. There's some areas where facilities could be amazing and improved... For example air conditioning in the rooms as it was very warm and heating is set centrally at 17 degrees so had to turn it off and keep balcony door open all night but was still very warm in the room. It had traditional decor, but to make it a ten they could replace some tiles and make it more modern. White porcelain look to bring it into 2025. Dress code in restaurant needs removing as it's dated these days people like to wear what they want whenever they want in 2025. Or at least say for evening meals we would prefer if you would not wear beachwear for a more smart casual code. The evening meal is very continental some meats I couldn't eat so had more salads or ate out for lunch on tapas bars and restaurants. If they had an option for bed and breakfast I would have paid for that and ate out more. Or if they did all Inclusive the free drinks would make up for the lack of British cuisine in the evening meals. There were some things I liked and some things I didn't, so would give that only a 6/10 for choice. But not bad just not amazing

Arrived here in February we wasn’t expecting what we did. Was an extremely beautiful area, hotel with rooftop pool and bar area were lovely and the views outstanding!! Staff were friendly and attentive, food at the hotel was great. Will definitely go back

Hotel was clean with friendly and helpful staff. Food was nice with a good range of choice. Room was comfortable and clean and the maids did an excellent job daily. Location couldn't be better with shops and seafront on the doorstep.would recommend this hotel for any type of break, would suit all needs
