Ohtels la Hacienda

Nice clean hotel, staff are all great, receptionists, restaurant staff and bar staff. Good choice of food on the all inclusive, great snacks during the day. Only downsides are the inside pool is chargeable 15 euros which I think is a rip off and the entertainment at night for adults is non existent. Nice 10 minutes walk to the lovely beach, not many good shops to have a wander in.

We have just returned home from here. We haven't been abroad for 5 years and was a bit apprehensive at first coming away again however we have had an absolute fantastic holiday with a big thanks to the lovely staff here at La Hacienda. We flew to Reus which was such a quiet and stress free airport with the smoothest transfer we have had and arrived at the hotel within 15 minutes!! The hotel itself is beautiful outside and in, it is so clean and well looked after. We arrived and we were kindly upgraded courtesy of the hotel to a pool side room which was on the second floor and great placement in the hotel. The rooms are spacious and good size beds. It has a mini fridge and a hairdryer, the beds were made everyday and the room cleaned with fresh towels everyday. You have got everything you need at the hotel however if you want to venture out there is a short walk to the beach and town and also a very good bus route to go to nearby places,- we went to Salou, Portadventura water park and Tarragona which we were all a maximum 20 minutes bus ride away. La Pineda is a quieter town but we really liked that about it with the busier part being further down, we felt very safe there. The staff at the hotel were all very welcoming and friendly, you can see that they take the time to make the effort which every person they see. We were half board and the food was great, options for everyone and the service was fantastic. Tables were cleaned and refreshed so efficiently and the food was continually being topped up with fresh food (nothing ran out) it was all kept very clean and many staff around to help out if needed. Some of the staff did not speak much English but they were very keen to help out either way- I would definitely brush up on some Spanish next time we visit, out of respect to them. The pool was a great size and very clean, same goes for the splash park and water slides. It was all very safe and enclosed for the kids to run around. The Pool and poolside was cleaned each night and chained off so people couldn't race down in the morning and bag sunbeds which we thought was a really good idea. There is a kids club but our son didn't ended up going as we were out and about but the staff were very friendly and always spoke to him. The entertainment in the evening could've been a bit better in some ways however it's not something we would use against the holiday we have had as that is a personal opinion. I was gutted I didn't get chance to use the Spa as it looked beautiful but we were so busy, I'm hoping next time we come I will get to go. Overall the whole experience of holiday was exactly what we were looking for and we are definitely going to return again! We just want to say a big Thank you to all the staff and La Hacienda for making our holiday very relaxing and enjoyable. We wish were still there!!

I visited with my teenage daughter in June for a week of rest and relaxation; we were not disappointed We did have to wait until 1pm for any food or drink and our room at 2pm. It was disappointing that we had to pay for a drink at 11am but not a major issue The rooms are immaculate and spacious. Cleaned daily and fresh towels every few days (unless you leave in the bath to ask for them to be replaced). Towels are clean and a good size compared to most hotels I have visited Bars are often busy so a few minutes queuing (no worse than any other AI I have stayed in). The lack of water provided in the AI is not ideal so BRING A REFILLABLE WATER BOTTLE with you. The token system is to help waste and protect the environment - I have seen the same system in Ibiza so likely enforced by local authorities Pool areas are very clean (no plastic cups and rubbish flying around 😉). People do dash in at 10am to get beds - again, this happens everywhere Staff 95% friendly, especially if you try and speak Spanish 😉😉😉 A wide selection of food in the all inclusive. It might not suit those who don’t eat salads or try Spanish food. We were only not satisfied once; purely due to the mood we were in but mostly we were very happy with the food. It might not be hot sometimes but that’s what you get with buffet food. We always got a drink served quickly in the restaurant Shout outs to Vanessa and Salma in the restaurant who were gorgeous ladies and made our visits to the restaurant very enjoyable! Also, the security guard Juan was super friendly and great with the young children If you have realistic expectations you can’t go wrong at La Hacienda 👍🏻

Where to start when we booked this holiday I looked on trip advisor and seen some great reviews,I’m not sure what hotels they have stayed at before but all I can say is I did not experience the same things they did. The staff were lovely,rooms basic but clean no kettle and fridge wasn’t very cold,pool was ok it wasn’t very busy the first couple of days we were there so wasn’t too bad getting a sun bed but as the week went on it did get busier so had to queue as the pool area didn’t open till 10am snacks were ok the food in the hotel was not good breakfast was the best time but that wasn’t great food was cold dinner time and tea time was terrible and sometimes you had to wait for a table if it was busy would not class this hotel as a 4star don’t think we will be returning

We had high hopes for this after reading many reviews in January, however I have to agree with the more recent reviews. The pool area was clean and tidy. The kids had fun! But the toilets were disgusting and on one occasion I witnessed the cleaner come in and sign that they had been cleaned and walk straight back out leaving the toilets filthy. Our bedroom was immaculate, and I cannot fault these nor the cleaners assigned to 406. We had three rooms in total and I know they would also agree with this. The pool bar staff were hit and miss, but mostly miss. There was a day I asked for a cocktail which was on the menu, for an older grey haired gentlemen to appear and very aggressively and loudly berate the young girl who had taken my order for trying to make me the drink that was clearly on their menu - lemon daiquiri - and told me they don’t this cocktail. His whole demeanour was unacceptable and had he spoken to me that way he would have had a nasty surprise. The young girl didn’t seem to be phased but I was embarrassed on her behalf. Staff making the food here were also rude. There was an older red headed lady who was extremely pleasant every time I went over! The food was not to our families taste - turkey neck and pigs feet. There was nothing for children to eat and this meant we ended up eating out most evenings which makes going AI pointless. The staff on the hot station often walked away when there was nothing left, even a third into service. I would have thought they would make an attempt to carry on cooking. There was nothing but pizza to eat for a child and there wasn’t even margarita available which I think is a must for children… I would advise offering chicken nuggets too! After hotdogs and chips for lunch every day, no-one wants it for tea. I quite liked that you had to return your cup for another drink. This stopped the pool area being untidy as it was very well kept and the floor was also always clean which mattered to us with young children running around. WiFi was okay for us. Evening entertainment practically non-existent. The animation team in the day often set up their games right next to our sunbed which meant lots of people stood next to our beds, I believe that they should have an area for this separate to where people are relaxing. Drinks service at meal time was slow! You was lucky to get one drink. The ladies welcoming you at the desk were always pleasant and lovely! Especially Mercedes and there was another brunette lady who was always smiling and very friendly! Any dealings with reception were always positive! The staff there were also very pleasant! I have been AI many times and found it extremely odd that we didn’t have water provided for the room (or any drinks) and you couldn’t ask for big bottles at the bar either. No shade around the children’s pool and you cannot move the parasols. All in all I wouldn’t return to this hotel! However Salou was brilliant and we are looking at returning next year

Would score this lower if I could I’ve gave the hotel time to get Ricardo down here and try and sort the issue out we have . Hotel told us they where not going to phone him and get him down so here’s a full report over the 2 weeks we were here Hope you enjoy the read cuase we didn’t enjoy our 12k holiday Right where to start , In would definitely say this is not a 4 star hotel I’ve stayed in a better 2 star hotel in the past We arrived about 12 o’clock the room wasn’t ready for us had to wait till 2:30 to get into our room and unpacked Going to the pool for the 1st time , went to the Bar for a drink then told I need a token for a cup witch I didn’t have a clue about thought when you checked into your room the girl would tell on reception clearly not her problem The pool area the pool looks good for kids but is it really good for kids ? Your not allowed balls , rubber rings or anything like that less you are playing the games the entertainment is putting on , the chutes / slides so we have 4 kids away with us after 7 days of our holiday 2 of our boys come down crying saying there not allowed to go down the slide anymore after 7 days with no hassle of them doing so ,so went to see what the problem was they changed the height to 1m20 so I went to reception and asked them then sayed it was health and safety so my question is where was the health and safety for the last 7 days right ? Heath and safety should be every day not just days they choose also at the pool bar at the sun bed bit you thought you would have a table to put your things on from a 4 star hotel there’s nothing like that there’s also a lack of shade around the pool health and Safety should be the same for everyone, talking about health and safety A other thing about the pool one of my kids were wearing a t shirt all week to stop him getting burnt and we changed it to a football top one day and then the life guard didn’t like it one day and told us we need to get a swimming t-shirt I wasn’t sure what that was so I was trying to ask him but he walked away with out telling me exactly what he meant so I’m still unsure to this day what he meant by that Talking about health and safety day 11 our holiday the rules changed again and the kids got down the slides I think they make the rules up as they go along & now day 12 they were all allowed down the slides on their own AGAIN with no hassle from lifeguards & then our last day , day 14 our boys were sadly told no AGAIN to get down the slides so yeah the last day ruined for them because between your select rules & staff they never got up on their last day , the health & safety card cannot be played by any of your staff as not one of them can decide what set of health & safety rules to stick with , I think it may be health & safety played in routinely days , again not acceptable regardless as our kids health & safety isn’t within any of your staffs hearts & this has been well & truly proven with all 10 members of our holiday par

Never again, Basic rooms,No kettle,fridge didn’t get cold, 1 pillow per bed, paper thin walls you could hear everything. Over looking a busy road. Corridors dirty and smelly Food was the worst food we’ve experienced so had to eat out for the rest of our stay. Greasy, uncovered, cold Flies loved it. Jacuzzi pool was more like a kids pool even they had lots for kids in other areas Pool doesn’t open till 10 All inclusive 🤣 limited to 3 cocktails they were crap Limited to 1 drink if you had an evening meal. No towels provided not that we were told. Wi-Fi awful The spa was disgusting, the indoor pool smells of sewage, half things not working, steam room floor was slimey couldn’t even open the door to the sauna. Gym, that’s not a gym. Pool and bar area rubbish on floor's Toilets 1 no light all week, 1 with broken toilet roll holder, 1 with rotten door frame. Pics can be provided As what’s on other booking sites is nothing like what you get.

Lovely family holiday. Hotel is spotless, room was basic (no kettle) but comfy beds, great air con and small fridge. Shower was great. Pool area fantastic, decent sized pool, splash park and three large slides (for over 120cm height only). Pool open 10-7, slides 11-1 and 3-6. Would have preferred if they could have stayed open for the full afternoon. We always managed to get sunbeds, people did queue but not big queues and not a mad rush. Pool bar served decent snacks/lunches and drinks. Need to present token to get drink, some staff more strict than others when we forgot to bring ours down to the pool. Restaurant choices were huge, not everything was to our taste but have to appreciate the effort and that they are not just catering for brits. Not a lot of choice for fussy kids but the rest of us found something. Always had chips and plain pasta for plain eaters. All the staff we met were friendly. Evening entertainment was average. Easy walk to get into la Pineda centre/beach/water park. Bus stop outside hotel to get into Salou in 15/20 mins and supermarket just round the corner. Would definitely stay again.

Had a fantastic 4 nights at this hotel. Food and drink to a good standard and always found something to eat. Pool area nice and clean with a good selection of drinks. Rooms nice and clean with no issues. All staff very friendly and making sure you were looked after, even had drinks with a few staff outside of the hotel. Booked again for next June..
