The Devon Court

First time stay at The Devon Court, what a gem of a hotel. On arrival we were greeted by the host Kyra who helped carry our bags and from that moment on , Kyra and husband Martin were the perfect hosts, very welcoming and friendly. We checked in and were given a quick tour before being shown to our room. A 9 room hotel , beautifully decorated with a heated outdoor pool and sun terrace , complete with loungers . Fully stocked bar, with tv, very comfortable sitting room , breakfast room just off the hall. We made a late booking , so had the last room available , which was on the side of the hotel overlooking the drive. Again beautifully decorated, fully equipped with tea/coffee, biscuits, stocked minibar ( prices very reasonable) fluffy bathrobes and slippers, fan, bathroom toiletries. The hotel is situated at the top of Sheedan Hill, a 15/20 min walk to the harbour . Breakfast is on pre order basis and does not disappoint! I can highly recommend the eggs Benedict and Belgian waffle. All produce high end and lots of choice, endless top ups of juice and tea. We checked out with a cream tea to take home with scones freshly made by Martin. I cannot praise this hotel and its hosts enough, we will definitely be back !

The rooms are beautiful and always spotlessly clean as is the rest of the building. The breakfast is cooked to perfection using the best quality ingredients. Kyla and Martin are wonderful hosts and can't do enough for you. It's and added bonus that there is a heated outdoor swimming pool. My parnter and I have stayed here many times as the Devon Court is so wonderful

What a wonderful time we had at The Devon Court. Lovely hosts. All round conditions 5 Star. Great food. Lovely pool. Near to Torquay Town Centre. Parking a bonus. Nothing was too much trouble. Great facilities and we were accommodated in a ground floor room which suited us fine as one of us has bad knees.
