Friendly staff at front desk, smooth check-in. There’s everything you need in the sparkly clean room even though i stayed the smallest room. Laundry is available. Location is excellent. There is a 24-hour convenience store cross the main street. The neighborhood is lovely. Really enjoyed the stay. Will consider comeback next time.

My experience at Victoria's Mansion was a lovely one, it exceeded my expectations in every way...comfort, cleanliness, safety, location, affordability, service and friendliness of staff. Situated on a quiet tree-lined street, it's location was ideal for all the things I needed for my stay...Restaurants/bars, shopping/touring/shows and most importantly transportation which was a short walk to the nearest subway station Wellesley, downtown Toronto is a good 25 minutes walk away if you're just taking it easy on some days. This Victorian Era house has all the comforts of home with amenities such as a mini fridge, microwave, kettle with a coffee/tea setup, clean comfortable room with linens and a private bath. This house has a lot of charm and character as it was built in the 1800's and as such...don't go with the high expectations of a modern day chain type hotel, it's unique in its own way and I loved every moment of my time spent there. The staff were all so friendly, pleasant and helpful with anything I may need, it doesn't have a 24hrs front desk, but they're around if you need anything during their 10-6pm time by calling the phone. I highly recommend this accommodation for value and comfort to anything in downtown Toronto, I made the right decision in choosing this place and look forward to my next visit.

Tiny extremely plain room, WiFi mostly inoperative during my stay, electrical circuit for the tv & power ***** blew a bit after 6pm during my stay & no staff on site at that hour to connect the breaker. Received a whopping $8.70 credit against my room charge for my inconvenience.

It's an old mansion described perfectly on their website. For what it is, it's pretty great. If your accommodation dreams include a large screened TV or yoga studio, this isn't the place for you. If you are however after a safe, affordable, well-located room, in a unique building, run by some great staff then you'll dig It. Will definitely stay there again!

This place is a little gem. Unbelievable value considering you're within walking distance of downtown and all the attractions. Although if you're not much of a walker the subway is right round the corner. Rooms are basic, but have everything you need. The check in was smooth and easy even though I was panicking about arriving after 7pm when the reception is not staffed. The only minor quibble I had was that the WiFi was very unreliable. But if that's you're only complaint when staying at a property you're doing pretty well!! Would definitely stay again on my next visit to Toronto.

We checked in late with a key code with no problems. Our rooms on the first floor are a little dated but functional. Bathrooms and rooms were clean. Parking was tight but manageable and so convenient in the city. We walked to dinner and the neighborhood felt safe.

The Victoria Mansion is a traditional house of the Victorian era. It's built solid, it has charm and while being an old house, the rooms are more than adequate and clean. Don't expect the place to be like the Royal York, but it has all the features of a hotel room.

Garden is very small. One bench one fountain out front and one small stone bench on side. Steps to get up to door. Have to call to be let in. Once checked in get code for first door and keys for next two doors. 17 steps to second floor. I paid for deluxe queen. Balcony shared. Cigarette butts and smell there. Bed not queen but a double. Small shower very little water pressure. View of alley. I had walker but they wouldn't switch us to first floor.

Located at a 6min walk from Wellesley station, this cozy mansion was great. Compared to other hotels, it was very budget friendly. It was clean, check-in was smooth (our room was even ready before check in time, so that was great), staff is very nice. The location is amazing, we went to see the CN Tower, Ripley’s Aquarium and Casa Loma and everything is accessible from the subway station. I would definitely stay here again!

The quiet location was good and accessible to public transport. The room was spacious and decorated in character with being an historic building. Everything was clean and very basic. The late check in system was efficient and easy to follow. The staff were friendly and helpful. The electricity power plugs and cords need to be upgraded - a cord going across the floor at the bathroom door did not seem safe. The tea, coffee, creamer were in a haphazard pile in a bowl which was off putting. We had to request washing up and drying cloths for the kitchen sink.

Clean, comfortable and too noisy. Unfortunately the noise is mostly from the housekeeping and reception staff. Loud conversations and slamming doors. How about a training course on how to quietly close doors and how to carry on quiet conversations?
