So I made the reservation through ******* today for tonight trying to accommodate my significant other who is down there for business. Due to the weather and the storms, we had an emergency and needed to tend to an issue out of the area and I called literally one hour after I made the reservation to cancel. The operator, Courtney the sweetest and post patient human, told us that she is not authorized to handle cancellations, and the owner, Kenny, is to be contacted to give us a waiver. So ******* and I have tried to contact him and he was not responding. I made three calls to the property, after ******* stated they cannot reach him, trying to just get an answer - yes or no - and Courtney has been a sweetheart, but Kenny is not replying (not even to my text). So in my last call, I told Courtney that if he wants to handle waivers, he needs to be answering his phone; this feels like babysitting; then I asked her to ask him to please respond. Two hours later I finally got a reply that this is advance payment and it’s not refundable. How hard was it to tell me that when I called? Well, we know where to NOT book in the future. Terrible way of conducting business
