This place is AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL. Beyond the accommodations the ENTIRE STAFF is SUPER EXCELLENT with service! Yvette the Chef incredible! Our servers Rev, Janay and Ducky OMG made us feel like family! The GenerAl Manager popped in occasionally to check on us all and made sure we were comfortable and taken care of! We did the Hike Tour of the Jungle incredible guide by Elon!! I love it here!

We stayed at the Copal Tree Lodge for our honeymoon, and I would rate this the best resort experience I've ever stayed at! The lodge only has a handful of villas, which provides a really private/boutique experience and the staff know all of the guests. The lodge only had a few rooms occupied at the time so there was no wait for tables or access to the bar. We had an all-inclusive package - the food and drinks were phenomenal (be prepared to gain a little weight...!) and they are sensitive to guests dietary restrictions, even on excursions. The villas are extremely comfortable - with A/C and we did not have any insects get in so no bug net required - far beyond my expectations from previous jungle excursions! September is an ideal time to visit - it is peak time for butterflies, bird migration is underway, and the weather was great. We enjoyed the ability to decide where we went birding (we opted for a sunset river cruise and a trip to the Mayan sites). We had 4 days of full birding with Desmond - he worked tirelessly to find us great views of the birds (so birders of every experience level will have a great experience and photographers will be able to get unobstructed shots!). We recorded 126 species in 4 days and saw at least 120 of those. Plenty of birds still left to see on our future vacations :) As an ecologist, I loved learning how the lodge's rum distillery was supporting the local economy and protecting the environment (a rare achievement!). We spent a lot of time birding on site and can see that bird diversity was not hampered by the human activities. This is truly an eco-lodge, not just in name! We would definitely take advantage of the other tours they have in the future (especially rum & chocolate making, fishing, snorkeling)

It is a beautiful lodge and farm, we cannot wait to go again. The staff is friendly and did everything they could to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The food was amazing and plentiful, we never felt hungry and enjoyed the views from the restaurant.

The trip was incredible. I've never seen more beautiful resort in my life. The place is magical in the middle of the jungle, surrounded by magnificent views and energy. People were extremely hospitable and kind. And of course the rum was fantastic! Copalli Cacao rum is heavenly delicious, especially in Pina Coladas! The best trip!

Incredible jungle stay. This place is absolutely magical. From the sounds of the jungle, the drinks, the views, food and the incredibly friendly and accommodating staff!! We loved the cacao excursion it was very interesting and we learned a lot about chocolate making. I would definitely come back!

We came here for our honeymoon because we wanted to explore southern Belize. We were close to the beach, waterfalls, and Mayan ruins. We wanted to explore Punta Gorda and learn more about the Maya culture. Mission accomplished . This trip met our expectations but the accommodations were surprisingly luxurious! I felt like a pampered princess. They came in and cleaned when we left during the day and then returned in the evening to prepare the room for sleep, by closing certain blinds and removing decorative pillows. I have never enjoyed a room so much. The rain hitting the rooftop lulled me into a deep sleep at night. I didn’t mind the morning rains because I could enjoy my coffee on the porch and watch nature.
