Wickaninnish Inn

The Wickaninnish Inn is the perfect location for a weekend getaway. Though it's great in the summer it's even better during the stormy winter. It feels like you are right on the ocean-because you are! Surfers love this spot. The giant waves pack down the beach sand which makes it so smooth for those who need mobility assistance. The Inn is decorated with artwork from Canada's First Nation creators. The rooms are spacious with luxurious amenities. Our room had a huge soaking tub and a balcony which was perfect for watching the waves.

They over work their staff and pretty much can't keep good staff. They abuse the visa workers. All the fake people in management need to be replaced and the hotel sold in general. If they could keep staff, maybe it would be a good place.... don't be fooled by their shady people.

My husband and I stayed for 4 days at The Wick. The staff was welcoming, accommodating, and very well trained. Housekeeping even vacuumed our room after the first night. Valet was prompt and efficient. The views of Chesterman’s beach are stunning. The Pointe Restaurant had a fantastic menu and attentive staff. We even rode bikes along the beach. It was just a perfect getaway!

Maybe it’s the best hotel in the world. But I’ll never know. A hotel that is holding itself out as being in this sort of category should be able to quickly confirm whether or not it has a room within the date range that is requested . And if it’s tell you that a room is available, it should not then change its mind. And if it does change its mind it should not then dismissively offer a room outside of the requested date range. Whatever.

This hotel gave a smiley welcome from the first person to the last. Location is magnificent. Room matched our preferences of beach level window (though we did not realise that there was no access to the beach from the room), the bathroom was spacious, amenities sufficient, beds comfortable. There was a bucket of beach toys for our kid who disappeared to the beach on the moment she saw it and a glass of port for the adults. The restaurant was great! Not too fancy, but definitely delivered the best meals we had during our trip to Canada. Breakfast was the only bit that was not quite to our taste. We are more used to the European styled variety of fresh options. We do not need a big buffet, but a porridge + fruit + avocado toast or similar could be a nice addition.

The hotel is in the most incredible location, near Tofino with quick easy access to Chesterman Beach and the most wonderful uplifting views - truly spectacular! The views and the facilities are only surpassed by the staff and the culture of the Wickaninnish Inn. The staff (at the Front Desk, in the restaurant, in the Coffee Shop, everywhere in the hotel!) are polite, courteous and VERY helpful. The culture is the very best and most impressive, I have ever experienced.
