We recently stayed at this hotel after travelling around Monte*****. We wanted to treat ourselves for a couple of days before our flight out, even though the hotel was a bit pricier. However, it's important to note that despite what's advertised, the hotel does not have a private beach. The hotel might have some sort of affiliation with a small beach area about 100 meters away, but it's not clear whether the hotel actually manages it. If you're interested in using the beach, be prepared to pay an extra €35 per day for a beach bed. During our attempt to relax on the beach, we were informed that all the beds were occupied. It turns out they had sold the beds to individuals who weren't even staying at the hotel. Unfortunately, the hotel staff couldn't assist us in this situation. Given that there's no pool at this hotel, we found ourselves with no place to unwind for the day except within our own room. I wouldn;t have minded so much but the hotel's marketing material very clearly boasts of a 'private beach' when in reality, there is no such thing. The staff, for the most part, are friendly and accommodating. However, there was a situation one evening when we returned and inquired about visiting the bar for a drink. We were informed that the bar would remain open until 11, which was great. Yet, starting from 10:30, one staff member began turning off lights, closing down equipment, and tidying up around us. This gave us a clear signal that she wanted us to leave. We would not have bothered if it was apparent that our presence was unwelcome. The room itself was quite impressive, recently updated and in good condition. However, there was a significant noise issue. The walls and doors seemed to be quite thin, as it was possible to hear all activities taking place on the same floor. In summary, no private beach; some helpful staff, some not so much; and a stylish room marred by paper-thin walls.
