Gästehaus Wald Und See

Cannot recommend this place. Website totally exaggerated and not honest: - There is no "herzliche Gastfreundschaft". We arrived at 5.00pm and nobody was in, just a note instructing us to use a code to access room key from a nearby box. This turned out to be the key for a smaller room than we had booked ( and agreed to pay extra for! ), with no refund of the price difference on checking out. The room itself was definitely not "gemütlich": no feminine touch, no softness, no thought of guests' comfort, nothing matched, and the bath/shower was dreadful - one big plastic unit. Needs total refurb. - The breakfast was nowhere near "exzellent", as described on their website, with minimum selection, and people crammed into a small room, hardly any space to get to the small breakfast table. There was a basket for boiled eggs, but there were none left and not replaced. The service( one person) was stressed and unfriendly - certainly no sign of any "aufmerksamen Team" as stated on website. - The owner, when we met him(we never knew his name), became impatient, rude and abusive when I offered my misgivings. He talks at you instead of appreciating guests' observations. Definitely in the wrong job. His only thought seems to be about money, not the comfort and satisfaction of guests. - We checked out after one night and when we came to pay our bill, we found that we had been charged for the larger room we had booked ( but not received). Also, we had been charged extra for breakfast food ( €4.20 per person ) and extra for coffee at breakfast ( €1.80 per person ), even though on the website it gives the impression of being included ( as in all 'Frühstück Pensions we have stayed at.) This added to our impression of having been 'ripped off'. I couldn't be bothered to argue this point, just so happy to get away. - After checking out, we found a beautiful, large, nicely furnished room in a small old farmhouse/hotel in the nearby village of Breitnau. Very good, helpful, friendly service, with excellent breakfast - which was included! - all for €20 a night less than we paid in Wald und See, far better value. We stayed for 3 nights. - The Black Forest is such a beautiful part of the world and there are many, many lovely places to stay. My advice to you would be to look around first before deciding on this place.

Das Restaurant liegt sehr schön etwas weg vom See,und auf der Route des Runtwegs um den Titisee. Die Bedienung ist sehr nett und auch das Essen ist gut aber nicht überragend. Die Maultaschen sind okay aber für eine kurze Pause lohnt es sich sehr dort zu Essen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Idéalement situé, parking protégé, 5 minutes à pied du centre-ville et lac mais en retrait de la route principale. Très bon petit-déjeuner compris dans le prix de la nuitée. Accueil très sympathique. Je recommande vivement!

Goede parkeergelegenheid. Op paar minuten lopen centrum. Wij hadden kleine kamer. Wel met balkon. Ik snap nu wel waarom geen foto's badkamer op *********** . Niet van deze tijd. Zeer klein. Van soort dik plastic wat ook in caravan zit en gifgroen. Als je op wc zit dan zitten je benen tegen wastafel. Ik heb nog nooit zo kleine en lelijke badkamer gezien. Douche was wel goed en warm. Ontbijt basic. En als zoon ontbijt deed dan moest je vragen om brood of thee. Hij vergat, niet alleen bij ons, steeds wel wat. We waren er 4 dagen. Zeer genoten van omgeving en titisee. Maar zou ander hotel aanraden. Het staat ook nog naast kerk die vaak slaat. Niet in nacht. En in achtertuin rijdt trein. Begint half 6 te rijden in ochtend. Kortom niet Zeer slecht maar ik zou niet meer kiezen. Bij afrekenen vroeg zoon ook niet hoe wij gehad hadden en wist niet goed hoeveel hij moest terug betalen. Je kan alleen contant afrekenen.
