Booking was done by me for my driver..as our hotel didn’t have driver room facility. When we reached this hotel, the check in person demanded 12% more than Agoda price mentioned on the bill which was all inclusive. I explained it was non refundable booking and total charges are mentioned. Even though I agreed to pay and asked for a receipt..He insisted on not giving any bill receipt and then asked for 900 Rs and told me to forget about Agoda booking and that he will give me a fresh booking. I explained to him again my booking is non refundable and I will be charged by Agoda later on l..he refused to give the room inspite of showing him the non refundable confirmation. It was a booking done for my driver to rest in a room instead of a car..I would have anyways tipped him more than that, if he had been nice..however his means of making money this way don’t make sense to me. I don’t understand this concept of under the table money. We just left and booked another hotel and informed Agoda.
